New England is kinda known for the word "wicked" as in that's wicked good or wicked pissa!
And Barney. I think you might get to claim that one, too.
But I might have just watche Good Will Hunting too many times.
as in the purple dinosaur? "not a fan" yeah...ok |

Salty = being rude or mean
I think that's a southern term although which part of the south it hails from I am uncertain. I'M NOT SAYING YOU'RE UGLY. YOU JUST HAVE BAD LUCK WHEN IT COMES TO MIRRORS AND SUNLIGHT!

Ehh, lawd I hope not. I hate that... uhhh... thing.
Nah. Barney.
A Barney is a person lacking in physical attractiveness.
In the movie I think the line is "there goes those Barneys now".
But I also found a definition where it says it a slang term for cop.
Or maybe it was "there goes those Barneys right now" ... its right after the cheeseburger argument.

You've NEVER seen Good Will Hunting? I don't know why I'm shocked, I'm sure a lot of people haven't seen it. Its just one of my very favorite movies, so I assume EVERYBODY loves it like I do. Its about a bunch of Southies - they say wicked a lot. |

I know! I haven't seen hardly any movies in the past 15 years or so. My husband hates movies...says they are all predictable so getting him to go to one or even rent a movie is like pulling teeth. "not a fan" yeah...ok |

I live in NC... people in this part of the world like to add "might" to phrases for no good reason...
"you might oughta close that door" instead of "you should close that door" or
"I might could pick you up" instead of "I could pick you up if you want"
It was very strange to me when I first moved here... but even I say it now. |
