This question is from a single male with no children. I need to know if there are update rules about breastfeeding children because I had no idea until I've seen these videos that children can be fed breast milk belong age 1.

When exactly is a child finally too old to be breastfed?

Breast feeding keep your boobs looking full and firm. The 1st mom seems to be doing this to keep her tittays fat. Not for the child's benefit.

IMHO once a baby grows in his/her teeth, you child is ready to be weaned.

My 1st child didn't get teeth until 11 months (late bloomer). I got much BS from his dad's side of the family for nursing my baby that long. By 11 months he was ready to be weaned and at that time he was only breast fed twice daily. He was ready he went straight from breast to cup.I breast fed my 1st child the longest.

Some mothers nurse longer like I did... but many mothers stop breast feeding once they return to work or when the child is at about 6 months when the demand on the breast feeding becomes well... demanding.

Those children that can speak full sentences and want to fondle and play with the breasts and slap the tittays around... its just time to wean them. Some mothers coddle their children too much for the sake of keeping an ample bosom.

Any child who can walk to the kitchen is too old to be breast fed.

I personally don't see the need past one year.

Mine weaned themselves before 12 months ~ they wanted cups like their older siblings

Certainly by the time they get a girlfriend.

The final decision lies with the parent I guess.

My personal view is that a child shouldn't be breastfed/drinking from bottles with teets when they can use a sippy cup properly (6 - 9 months in my kids cases).

I agree... breastfeeding a child also depends much on culture (and resources) of the parents.

My close friend's first-born son was like that when he was 10-months-old. That child wanted to be like a father a lot sooner by drinking out of coffee mugs! But he was happy for his toddler cup.

I was going to breastfeed my son up until 12 months then ween him to a sippy cup like I did his sister from her bottle, but he started walking at 9 months and wanted to get down and play with his sister after only feeding from 1 side... I got tired of being lop sided so I weened him from breast to the bottle and then used a bottle until he was 12 months old..

I think if a kid can ask for it thats just too old! If they are on whole solid table foods there is no need for breastmilk or formula...

to 4 or 5 or so is fine.

why? it seems a little out of my comfort area but for the kid to prefer one over the other is something that happens at 6 mos if not sooner. One will often express at a rate the kid is more comfortable with. that fact that he can talk is not the issue. as it was said the WHO says 2 + years... *of course most of the time i disagree with the WHO so...

but why do we use some arbitrary milstone to decide when it is too old to breast feed? Boobs are MADE for feeding our young.

It's all apart of the 'growing up' process. I feel your tits are made for feed young, as in babies who cannot eat solid foods and depends on your milk. These kids however, are talking walking and can eat solid food. You can mess up your child's teeth by doin that or sometime the kids get too dependant on being breast fed because it because it becomes sort of a comfort thing, to where they'll even act out for it.. Bears feed their cubs milk until they are old enough to eat meat like mama bear and papa bear. I've seen kids so big that are being breast fed, they have to stand up because the can't lay in their parents lap. To me that is a bit much. This is all my humble opinion, though. With a couple facts thrown in here and there.

1 - why do those women wanna film themselves while breast feeding ?

It's awkward , especially since those kids are toddlers

2 - that girls' tatoos are gross and tacky , and wtf is that on her chin

Breasts get a pass. Buttocks gets a pass as long as they're wearing g-strings or thongs. But vaginas & penises are forbidden on YouTube.

I'm writing this memo down.

I would guess it's when the teeth come in too, but it shouldn't be a rush either. Maybe when the child is starting to bite, at least transfer them to a bottle first if not a cup.
