Health ain't no joke. People need to wake up and start giving a shit about what they are putting into their body on a daily basis. People's disgusting, unhealthy diets make me SMH on literally, a daily basis.

People ask me all the time how I look so good and why I never get sick. And I tell 'em, straight up, it's because I eat healthily. It's not rocket science.

Instead of a popping a few pills to alleviate symptoms, how about looking at the problem itself? There's a great deal of evidence that many cases of diabetes can be almost completely reversed simply by an improved diet. As well as dozens of other illnesses.

RIP to this dude, he was a talent and should have taken his health seriously.

Many people have been completely cured of diabetes simply by losing weight. But, it's easier said than done.sad

^ I agree. I'm sure he took his health seriously but he seemed to never fully get it together. It happens. This is why deaths like this are not so shocking. It's kind of a shame though, he was starting to hit his strides. nod

I know you mean well but this came off kind of arrogant .. not everyone is built the same but eating healthy is a good goal to have but it's easier said then done. Anyway my first time seeing patrice was on the charlie sheen roast even though he looked familiar but I never saw his comedy until then. R.I.P sad

Too much "going out to eat" on the road will definitely increase a person's chance of intaking MSG, high sodium, high fat, and too much sugar & starch. nod

As am I.

Once I started eating healthily, I no longer have any desires to ever eat unhealthy food. If I eat something even slightly greasy/oily, it comes out in my pores and I break out. I can feel heavy, starchy, fatty foods sitting in my gut and I don't like the feeling of it.

So I eat whatever the hell I want, when I want, it just happens to always be stuff that's healthy. lol

bugz, is it arrogant when people are dropping dead on a daily basis and getting all kinds of sicknesses simply from poor diet? i might sound hardline but it comes from a compassionate place. i'm not saying most of them act like that on purpose, most of them are ignorant and need education on the subject. so it might come across harsh but people are literally stuffing themselves with filth and then wondering why they get sick. i don't wanna see obesity keep rising, especially in children who don't know any better, while the corporate fast food chains etc keep lining their pockets at the expense of people's health and money. it's just horrible.

it might be easier said than done but if you ain't got your health, you don't have anything. even things as common as depression can be fixed by diet, in some cases just the most minor of changes.

Very true. People don't get that putting processed foods into your system can affect your mood. After so long, your body and brain craves it. However, at the same time, far too often, obesity is a side-effect of depression. So you really have to dig deep and understand exactly why you are obese. A simple love of food is very seldom the reason.

That's why I can now sympathize with what Aretha was going through and other entertainers (Chaka, Luther) and them because the battle of the bulge is more than just craving for food. Hell you have skinny folks who eat a lot and don't gain a pound either so it's not that simple.
