Well, I don't know how many hot dinner you'v had.
It's a nice story actually.
One of my best friends here in Amsterdam is English. Her sister, who lives in London and whom I also know, was over here for a family holiday.
They gossiped about their friends and had the idea to put him and me on a dating for friends website. A website where you apparently put your friends up for a date. So, they were talking about both our profiles, when they concluded that we actually would be a perfect match.
So, my friend told me how great he was and how he would be a perfect partner for me. And her sister talked about me to him. So, the London based sister gave him my e-mail adress and weeks later he did send me an e-mail.
And it was an extremel funny and nice e-mail. Since then we e-mailed every day, couple of times a day. After two weeks of intense e-mailing I liked him so much that I booked a flight to London for a blind date.
It was great, we hadn't even skyped. We did have a plan B, for if we didn't like eachother. Then he would stay with friends, so I could stay at his place and enjoy a short holiday in London.
So, our first blind date actually lasted for 5 days. And it was perfect. When we saw eachother at the airport for the first time, we were both so in love. We spend the first 2 days just gazing in eachothers' eyes. It was extremely romantic.
He then came over to Amsterdam and in two weeks will be visiting again. For 5 days!!!
And I will stay with him in London during the christmas holidays.
We'r still e-mailing at least once a day and he makes me very happy.d
I'm smitten.

Ummmm...you guys wanna take this to PM - or start your own thread?
Thanks. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Hm, I see, a very passive-aggressive new title. Well, Genesia is known for her high tolerance for orgers that don't behave according her rules. Genesia is a very kind, open minded and friendly orger, isn't she?
And ofcourse, in GD threads never derail. Especially the ones that everybody can get into for hours and hours will stuck with one subject.
Fortunately we can get on now with the thread, now the title has changed.
Yes, I probably will see abfab in England. If I get around to it. So, please, keep it on your USB, because there's a solid change I'll beg you for it, Hamster.
How's the burned hands going? Did you get any honey to nurse it?

I am a bit sad my burned hand did not make the new title. In the old days it was SPORT to derail a thread asap. I suppose I am too much of an old sport to not roll my eyes at a proper derailment like this one; being a discussion that goes multiple ways, like in real life, sweetie dahlin'. I will highlight the ON-TOPIC remarks sarcastically, which was also once a highlight of Org. >>

Also, Genesia, now you have opened up the thread to a broader subject, can I also talk about long-distance LOVE lives? Cuz that's another thing Org's famous for; people meeting people and making babies. >>

London sweety is coming over in two weeks and I want to have as much time for him as possible, so am busy right now. However, one cup of coffee or glass of wine at the Amstel must be possible right?
