The four-hour horror series is based on King's popular novel, and stars Pierce Brosnan as a writer recovering from the death of his wife.

The miniseries also stars Beverley Hills, 90210 actor Jason Priestley and former Alias regular Melissa George.

Reportedly, King had made regular visits to the set during filming.

Bag of Bones is still in production and is expected to begin airing on A&E later this year.

I loved this book and always thought it was one of his best suited for film.

But seriously, King said in 2001 he was writign 4 more book's then retiring...... lol.

Guess he was fibbing on that

A&E has announced that its four-hour miniseries Bag of Bones will premiere on December 11, 2011 and conclude on December 12, 2011.

in 1999 King was run down by a van-driving fan. he was seriously injured. when i read King's book entitled Duma Key, i had the feeling the protagonist was somewhat autobiographical. (protagonist is recovering from a severe construction accident)

i think King really suffered a ton of physical pain at that point in his life and writing must have become a chore for him. he probably did think about quitting writing. lucky for us King faNS writing is like a drug. once you start you can't really stop
