3 plead guilty in toilet paper scam Okay, I don't give a damn how old and senile you are, how can you be tricked into buying 70 years worth of toilet paper???!!!!

Three South Florida salespeople could face up to 20 years in prison after scamming elderly victims into unnecessarily buying toilet paper, the Miami Herald reported.
Salespeople from FBK Products told customers they needed special toilet paper to avoid ruining their septic tanks because the federal government had changed toilet paper regulations. Even though the government doesn't actually regulate septic tank products, the pitch worked -- some customers bought 70 years worth of toilet paper, the Herald reported.
Customers were also sold products like a $199 Septic Remedy treatment, which was supposed to eliminate the need to have tanks pumped, and special soaps and detergents.
In all, the company got $1 million in the scam from more than a dozen victims, the Herald reported. Three salespeople pleaded guilty to conspiring to commit wire fraud in connection with the scam last week. They are set to be sentenced in February. Another three are awaiting trial.
