Anybody here on the .org ever get busted for a D.W.I.

See where I live we party for any damn thing and I think I live in the only state in the country that has drive through liquor stands "okay please don't laugh at that one".

We have Mardi Gras, a holiday when the open container law basically gets laughed at buy everyone in the streets on that day but if you get busted by a cop with an open beer in your car you get a D.W.I. wuz up with dat.

So come on orger's let me here ya.

I brought my cocktail out of the bar with me and into the back of a cab last time I was in New Orleans. Is that not legal??

D.W.I. in the U.S. means DRIVING WHILE INTOXICATED, you know if you popped one to many tops and got behind the wheel of your ride.

For all the British sisterhood, it means after a night out on the tiles.

I don't have a problem with people getting pulled over and arrested while intoxicated. I know four people who were killed by drunk drivers (two from the same family but from separate accidents, one who killed his own brother, and the other was my grandmother).

But I do have a problem with the police from this HICK town where I live. My husband was in his parked truck, while a cop approached and asked to search his truck. My husband obliged, not having done anything. They found a pinch of weed (a small roach) in the back seat left from some other people).

My husband got a $700 fine, a suspeded license for six months, six months probation, 80 hours of community service and must attend NA meetings!!! And, no, he did not have any prior drug convictions. My city is notorious for picking on black people.
