LEVI STRAUSS: still the best jeans of ALL TIME

I wonder why they're not as popular as they once were

any other clothing company makes jeans which are pure SHIT, a pain...

LS jeans fit like a glove, and your ass looks twice as good with them...

I can only use LS jeans

do U agree? do U also own several LS jeans?

I can't wear them.

The thighs and butt are too narrow... to get them to fit, I'd have to buy them larger and have the waist taken in. disbelief

Even the ones that are supposed to be "curvy" are a joke. confused

I need pics to understand what you mean, pics of your ass and thighs naked, and then with the jeans on...

Yeah, Levis were never really made to fit a curvier figure - which is probably why they've lost market share. Women do most of the apparel buying. shrug

I was able to wear 501s when I was in college - when I was quite thin and the preppy look was in. (The bigger waist gave me room to tuck in my layers - a turtleneck and oxford shirt, or a polo and an oxford shirt.) Nowadays, I prefer something that actually fits my waist.

Like the other ladies have said, they just don't fit me right.

But my man, on the other hand, wears them exclusively and they look great on him!

I'm always jealous of him as when we go shopping and he needs new jeans he can walk in anywhere that sells them and knows the cut and size that fits him perfectly, he just has to pick out the color and fade, etc. and doesn't even have to try them on. I can spend hours trying on jeans at various stores to find one pair that looks and fits right.

Women have many, many more critical fit points than men. It's just a fact.

For most men, there is only one critical fit point (for pants): the waist. Everything hangs from there (figuratively speaking lol ) because they have very little curve below the waist.

Women have a minimum of two critical fit points - the waist and the low hip. Some women have even more than that, if you factor in thigh and high hip (which includes the tummy).

Making pants that fit a majority of women is a pain in the ass. Pun intended. lol

<--- slender hips club. I was an easy fit. Nothing high waisted though. shake

So I liked to rock the Levi's and Calvin Klein's jeans back in the day, I looked GOOD in those. All their denim is shit now.

I miss my little black denim cropped bolero jacket by CK and the jeans... I looked so good in that outfit.

I love it! Certain ones with spandex cups my booty really wonderfully and makes it look nice and round {not that it isn't already razz}

I don't buy Levi's because they never fit right for me, either.

woot! I like LS jeans, especially the ones that hang a bit on the hips. The denim is so rich, nothing like the feel/look of true Levis.

Certain Levi jeans are okay. But I wear primarily GUESS jeans. And yes I can go anywhere and pick out my size and not have to try them on.

breese

I'm pretty damn short, nearly Prince short, and I find levi's fit my short legs the best. Other jeans I could easily cuff like 5 inches - I hate that.

Levi's need re-invention. It is a well established line. There's potential there nod

I can see you in two-tone LEE jeans back-in-the-day.

Levi's look good and wear well.

I stopped buying GAP and rediscovered Levi's when my GAP jeans kept wearing holes in the knees and wallet areas within months of getting them.

Levi's are awesome.

Chocolate1, I have the same problem.

I have wider hips and a narrower waist. Good luck tryna get a pair of Levi jeans even past that...neutral

I do have a pair...but they're so faded now that I don't wear them anymore. Jean shopping is a chore...
