I don't drink coffee; I drink diet Coke and Starbucks does not sell diet Coke so I never go there.

The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp.

What do I order at THEM = "usually nothing"

IF I do go into a coffee shop it's a local owned one NOT a superwalmart "Starbucks" type shrug

I usually always support small local business ~ not chain stores

For me that = better quality on many levels

If others wanna do Starbucks ~ I really don't care ...it's just not my choice for quality coffee or treats

peace!

I have never found a locally owned one... Wait, there was one in a small town we lived in, in Kansas... That has been any good... Coffee tastes burnt, syrups are cheap tasting and way to sweet, and dont even get me started on the baked goods talk to the hand I dont see Starbucks as a walmart type myself, just having a good product who was small and became popular so now its global biggrin

I LOVE supporting small mom and pop places, but if the stuff is yucky, I cant support it...

I think you misunderstand what I am saying.

I am not saying you should go to Starbucks. I am saying you have expressed that you do have coffee shops, local ones, that you will go to as a customer, I get that. Given that the thread topic is not limited to Starbucks or any other chain coffee shop, what is it that you would get at the local stores you do frequent? What kind of drinks, treats, etc. Doesn't have to be a superwalmart type place unless I am reading the original post and thread title wrong.

Edit: And I see you said you order nothing at the ones you do go to...so you can ignore that question, but yeah, I wasn't here to advocate Starbucks or anything. Ain't like they pay me anything.

Asheville is rich in local owned shops & restaurants of all kinds and most all of them are much better than their chain type matches

I figuire we are richly blessed that way biggrin

Pumpkin spice steamer,Thai tea latte or Strawberry creme.

I know that many people don't like Starbucks for a variety of reasons, but I love them and will always buy from them.

My younger sister has been a Starbucks barrista for over 5 years. This time last year she was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. The insurance provided by Starbucks allowed her to get quality treatment with minimal expense to her and the store she worked at let her take as much time as she needed for her testing, surgery and treatment. No questions asked. No threat of losing her job. No pressure to come back quickly.

She is completely okay now, just doing routine follow-up and I will be eternally grateful to Starbucks for making a difficult time less stressful for my entire family.
I'm firmly planted in denial
