What was the last vinyl record you bought? Do you still buy vinyl?

Mine: Inaya Day meets Louis Benedetti -- "Shout it Out" [12" single]

It arrived in today's mail from the U.K. It's actually a U.S. release, but I couldn't find a U.S. record store that had it in stock, so I had to order it from overseas.

Obviously, I'm still buying vinyl--it's still the preferred format for house and other forms of dance music. And there's something nice about watching a record spin around on the "wheel of steel."

I don't own a recordplayer, so I don't buy vinyl on a regular basis, but I do buy some 'special' Prince vinyl from time to time.

Last things I bought, I bought them at the same time, are the transparent yellow LP's to ' Hate U' and 'The Gold Experience and the purple vinyl of '1999: The New Master'

I think my last one was - can't remember.. .. if I see some lp's, I always buy them.. just something special about them, of course not the same quality as cds.. but still, just something about them..

book a listening room, take your favourite record

and listen to all the turntables they have

then buy the one that most suits your ear and hopefully wallet...

okay price wise

an LP12 turntable with a linn lingo power supply is about £2000

then u gotta buy the tone arm and catridge

these start from as little as a couple of hundred pounds to the top end stuff of around £2000 again..

u will also need a proper turntable rack or u can pay a lil more and get the trampolinn base.

which means u can put the turntable on any surrface u choose..

but u can buy the basic turntable for around £1000 and build it up over time.. to achieve its full potential..

I occasionally go into used record stores and buy old records.I buy the rare stuff that isn't available on CD,mostly old albums from the 70s.
