On tonight: Jimmy is forced to make a choice that has lasting consequences; Margaret gets together with her family; Agent Nelson Van Alden decides to trust the judgement of a new prosecutor; Owen makes plans to get even with someone.

Damn Nelson getting shut down on all angles...Rose won't have nothing to do with him (right now), he didn't have the money to live up to his deal with Lucy, got a new baby and at work they've moved his shit to another desk And to top it all off, now he's being blackmailed by Nucky!!! Love it!

Urgh, so Eli comes busting in on Jimmy's meeting talking about wacking Nucky. This dumbass sat up there and cried like a fucking newborn baby in front of Nucky asking for forgiveness and now he wants him killed? Eli makes me want to vomit. He's only in on things when they seem to look on the up and up. As far as I'm concerned, he's disposable.

Nucky is hilarious!!! (to Lucy as she walks in with her baby) "You and I have not seen each other since May 23rd last year".

What is up with Jimmy's mom? Urgh she irritates the hell out of me. In some way I feel like she's using Jimmy. At the same time, Jimmy irritates me because he's unsure of himself and the decisions he makes. He can't seem to think for himself. He keeps running to mommy dearest for some kind of validation.

And Margaret's family reunion. Hmm interesting is all I can say.

Owen settling old scores? And of course I knew it......Owen screws Margaret...royally.

So naturally the assassin misses and ole Nuck is still alive. What's next for Jimmy and the crew?

I know right. We now know that she is a royal hot mess and even more screwed up in the head than we thought. She's a woman who's going to get what she wants, no matter what or who she fucks in the long run. So in essence, Nucky should really be WATCHING her ass.

Yeah Lucy dipped out. Kinda sad, I thought she was actually bonding with the baby. Oh well. Hell no, I don't feel sorry for Van Alden either. He still has that "I'm more holier than thou" attitude.

I don't get that Van Alden character. On one hand he's this upstanding citizen confessing some of his sins so he can't be blackmailed. But on the other hand.....he killed a man:wacky: So what exactly is he? I guess a hypocrite. And how old is that "new born" baby? About 6 months?

I believe in some way Jimmy was trying to warn Nucky of the assasination attempt. What was the point of him speaking to Nuck right before the guy shot at him???

I thought it was a "Judas" kind of move: Judas kissed Jesus so they'd know who to arrest... I thought it was for the assassin to identify him. Creepy.

I kind of take it as Jimmy getting what he wanted. Which was Nucky alive. He really didn't want to kill Nucky, mainly Eli wanted that and then Capone and the others (minus Richard) followed suit. Yet Jimmy couldn't show weakness in front of them and relunctantly agreed to the hit. So when Jimmy went up to Nucky, said what he said a split second before the assassin came its like he created a diversion. Think about it. Nucky looks confused by what Jimmy has said right after and knows something's up which buffered the hitman into only shooting through Nuck's hand. Had Jimmy stayed away, they probably would've killed Nucky for sure. So in a way Jimmy got the best of both worlds, his associates still respect him for going along with the hit and Nucky is still alive.

That damn Jimmy, I've said it time and time again, just when you think he's done, he goes and surprises you.

It was the next step -- Van Alden turning back from Nucky's offer -- that I didn't see.

imo, Van Alden is playing two against the middle. i predict that he's going to gather info and funnel it to nucky for the money to take care of his baby and baby mama.

van alden is one sick puppy. And, my favorite character in the show. Michael Shannon is a fierce actor.
