Believe me, this sort of thing wouldn't just happen all over Asia. As a Black person, I've heard my entire life similar criticism of brown eyes as "having no color." It's the dumbest notion ever -- it's precisely because they have so much color that pigment now can be extracted, arriving at blue.

Blue eyes are beautiful (though the less pigment-absent greens are hotter, IMO ). I really dig my browns, though, and am gonna stick with 'em.

I like my amber eyes... its supposed to be a rare color, but I know many folks with amber eyes.

No thanks. I have family members that are DARK skinned (Eddie Murphy dark) and they have grey and blue eyes. People who meet them say they look freaky... the color contrast is so startling.

I think many women will line up (Hispanic) to get this proceedure done. Many in my family who would RUN to do it.

I know many, too. I suppose it beats the days of the late '80s/early '90s, though, when folk were walking around with the earliest, poorly made batches of commercial colored contacts. Everyone suddenly looked like a vampire or werewolf or something with those blazing greens, coppers and blues -- and they all insisted it was their "natural" color.

Shit 20 yrs?! How about a couple of months. I honestly don't think the color of ones eyes actually makes it pretty. I think it's more the shape and lashes that makes it pretty and the color it adds on to it. If you have green eyes but they are shaped weird, then I'm going to give you the side-eye. This reminds me of one of my favorite songs of the 1990s:

I have dark brown eyes and wouldn't mind having blue (not too light) eyes; just because I like the way brown hair with blue eyes looks. No way would I get that surgery. I did try colored contacts in the 90s, but they really bothered me and my eyes are so dark that they didn't really change anything.

It went with the black roots and coppery bleached frizzy hair.

What if this surgery gets the eye to some freaky sort of cloudy flat blue shade that's not bright and clear like natural blue eyes?

The clarity of the blue eyes are what give them their OOMPH and wow fator... the same as the reflective quality gives the dark brown eyes their wow factor. I love how light reflects off the darkest brown eyes... like shiny stones.

People always seem to want what they haven't got. I personally love brown eyed men. They're the eyes that make me melt.

I think people should be happy with what they got but if they could come up with some way to stop hair from turning grey, I could get behind that.

Oh, and if they could find a way to cure hiv and cancer and even the common cold, I'd be even happier.

Thanks for saying so! I really appreciate that. Maybe once my hair turns all grey, I'd do it. So far it's just the top. I would really miss my red though.
