I was a regular coffee drinker, until I cut back. I've tried Starbucks several times, and I love the vanilla flavored coffee in the bottle. Unfortunately, it's too strong for me. It gives me palputations, sometimes the jitters and it keeps me up at night, and this is drinking it in the daytime neutral

I don't do Starbucks or any chain coffee imports over here, but in all the local artisan coffee houses (there's practically one on every corner) I ususally get something like Milchkaffe (the German counterpart to French Cafe Au LAit or Italian Cappucino). Or a Chai spiced tea.

If i ever get anything to munch on it might be a traditional German sweet, so normally something like:

Beeren Schnitte

Vanille-Beeren-Schnitten Rezept

Schwarzwälder Kirchtorte

Produktzusatzinformationen

Apfelkuchen

Steirischer Apfelkuchen

Pflaumenkuchen

...or the Crack Cocaine of German baked sweets... Franzbrötchen

It's similar to a cinnamon roll, but it has the texture of a croissant. Simple and TO DIE.

Sandwiches. If I'm in Dunkin Donuts I'll have an egg wrap, tuna salad or chicken salad on a bagel, that sort of thing. I hate anything that even remotely tastes like coffee.

I haven't really been going to Starbucks after I moved out. Although during my undergrad years, i used to go there with my study buddy and we'd order the Pumpkin Spice Latte or their seasonal Hot Chocolate drooling

But normally, I have a skinny vanilla latte, a cappucino, or a caramel macchiatto. Sooooo good!!!! drooling

Just gonna say though...I'm a Tim Horton's girl at heart. wink biggrin

according to a

Starbucks ingredients distributor, most popular coffees are:

Believe it or not it's not the Macchiato or the Frappuccino, the answer is actually (Drumroll ..........................) "Skinny Vanilla Latte".

Congrats! But why? And have you noticed a positive change since quitting it?

I was having headaches every day. I'd have a couple cups of coffee in the morning (one on the way to work and another when I got there) - and have a headache by 10:30 a.m.

I suspected the caffeine was messing with my blood sugar. (I'm hypoglycemic - have been since I was a kid.) I was logy and had a headache all afternoon - and was craving sugar.

I'm still having a little headache here and there - but I think it's just the tail end of the caffeine withdrawal. And I've been sleeping like a baby. Even though I rarely had caffeine past noon, the headache and the unstable blood sugar were messing with my sleep, I think.

Best of all, I don't constantly feel like I want to kill somebody. lol

Caffeine withdrawal gives you headaches.

My ex went through horrific headaches with each pregnancy when she stopped drinking coffee.

I know that. But as I said, I was having headaches before I quit - ergo, the withdrawal wasn't much of a change.

And now, it's over and the headaches (from either cause) are gone.
