Hacking the firmware is VERY easy... just burn the hacked firmware (which I have) onto a CD and play it in the player... it will update the firmware and unlock all regions and defeat Macrovision.

My hacked DVD player is a SAMPO DVE-661.

Which is this?

Naaah... I stick with DVDs... I have never copied a DVD.

I got into it when i used to download movies. Have the fantastic four movie on vcd and ringu among others. Some rare stuff i put on vcd and get rid of the tape.

My Mac has a DVD burner in it, so I could copy my laserdiscs or VHS tapes to DVD but I am too damned lazy to do it. sad

There are a lot of things that I would love to have on DVD... that I actually HAVE but am too fucking lazy to put on DVD.

It's a cool hobby. To learn how to edit, resize movies. I used to be into it big time. I used to cut out scenes, add in scenes, change the aspect ratio, all that shit.

That is what I will do then... to replace the one that I am taking with me. It isn't any more expensive than the others that I've looked at.

AzureStar	By the way... I'm not much of a Godzilla fan. Though, I never gave it a good shot... my brother would force me to watch the movies when I was little so I was always prepared to hate it... whether I thought it was good or not.

It's more of a cult thing. I never completely grew up and still watch the movies like a kid. I love the imagination and the good vs evil thing on a child's level.

I will give it a shot soon... I will rent a movie and try to watch it all the way through. If I can sit through the X-Files I can sit through this. I might even enjoy it...

FlyingCloudPas senger	My most favorite extra Godzilla creation... Jet Jaguar! I love this thing! The design of the head, the colors, it's got attitude, much like Mazinga/Great Mazinga! I wish they would have done more with him after the robot appeared in a Godzilla movie. Oh well.

Godzilla, was so phony looking. And the over dubs were silly. There lip movements were so off.

That's what i like about them. As a kid i thought is looked so real :LOL: and now it's obvious it's fake as hell. There's an innocence in these movies that i guess i like.
The kid in me will always gravitate to movies like this.
