I don't know what it is about black media but I'm guessing it's because "she's been around" like in the business for a long time. It's like when people started to call Charlie Wilson uncle Charlie or calling Aretha Auntie Ree. They recently been calling Patti LaBelle Aunt Patti Patti or some shit.

Yep. That sounds like that could work. I mean, she tries to look young with the surgeries and the short club ho' dresses, but she really is hitting that age where we should call her Miss or Aunt out of respect...now, if somebody could just tell her stylist/assistant/glam squad or whoever the hell is responsible for helping her pick out her red carpet attire. When she wears evening gowns she gets it right - but get her at an even where formal wear isn't the standard dress and...well...
