Whatcha Reading Now?

Just finished this bio

I had been reading this, which had been on my shelf for ten years. I actually really am enjoying it, but decided to take a break from it.

Now I am onto this. Pretty good & entertaining, if somewhat slight. Bukowski is a great writer, but the novel does not seem particularly deep.

I finished this today... sat on a park bench while I waited for my car to be MOT'd. I cried a little at the end.

^^^I read the first two or three of them. They were good indeed! A little strange that they were written by an English man, but whatever smile

Actually, no, now I remember that was the one with Leonardo DiCaprio & Kate Winslet right? I have not seen it. But the movie was supposed to be good, which means the book must be better

Right nod

Yeah! The book is usually better because the movie adaptations tend to be quite weak and disappointing. I know we're talking about different art forms, but it can be done well (The Reader and The Godfather, for instance, are very good adaptations in my opinion, just as lively as the book).

Anyway, I hope this one is good. It might be a pleasure to watch simply because of the actors. I think both Winslet and DiCaprio are brilliant.
