The only thing that really scared me as a child was Chucky. I was 4 or 5 and my arms used to hurt at the end of the movie from holding my hands over my face for so long. I don't think me and doll movies ever really got along after that. lol I'm not scared of Chucky now but my family makes fun of the face that I'm scared of Tales from the Hood. I don't care what anyone says but those little slave dolls are scary as all hell. lol

nod each film offers something:

Part 1: the original CLASSIC

Part 2: bad but some amazing homoerotic/anxious but afraid to get out of the closet scenes

Part 3: excellent sequel

Part 4: some amazing gory/wicked scenes, and good enough story, the acting...meh

Part 5: pretty bad, but extremely wicked/cruel/violent, at least that's something evillol

Part 6: awful, but at least Freddy "dies", lol

Part 7: Wes Craven returns as the writer/producer/director again, that's all I need cool

Freddy vs Jason: bad but entertaining as hell

Yeah, it's not that every movie is some superb film, but as a whole, of all horror series, I think NoES is easily the most watchable. I hate the Halloween series [besides part 1 & 2], The Howling series may be the worst horror series of all time [only part 1 is worth having], The Hellrasier series is pretty much awful, the Saw series is ass [There, I said it lol ]. Friday the 13th is my second favorite series [I hated "Jason Takes Manhattan" though lol ], so yeah, NoES it is!

Oh, I loathe the NoES remake. mad shoot2 chair blowup fryingpan grenade shoot3

NoEs 2010 remake? I don't acknowledge its existence lol

the Halloween saga is awful, part III was not even about Mr.Myers, and since part IV they tried to adapt the series to the Friday the 13th formula (graphic gore/unkillable villian), pathetic

I guess the Fridaythe13th saga is decent if you just wanna watch gore and an unkillable villian killing everybody, lol

Hellraiser I & II are awesome (though sickening/disturbing) but after that: ugh...

Saw : bored

and I didn't even like the first Howling, lol

and of course Texas Chainsaw Massacre must be seen as a stand alone 70s horror classic

I love Halloween 1 and 2 only. You know, it's heart warming the way Jamie Lee Curtis's character (Laura Strode) reminds me of Arnold Schwarzenegger running away from his love child.

The original Halloween was filmed in April 1978...if you look carefully you can see leaves on the trees...

^ Seriously....watch it again and look carefully.

I also saw a documentary about the making of it, and they confirmed they filmed it pretty close to its release - they filmed it in the spring! They tried to disguise it with dead leaves on the ground etc but you can still see leaves on the trees in the background!!

^ I guess I'm trying to steer the discussion away from this dark film and onto a lighter film...Halloween looks positively inncoent in comparison.

P.S. How's the celibacy (going or not going)? It's been a while since we last talked!

I'm not sure I want to talk about that. Didn't you try to flirt with me after a while, & insinuate that I could be gay too? lol
