Ugly-hot? Hmmmm....I just find him hot-hot. When he had his shirt open last week, I elevated him to hot-hot-hot.

SPOILER ALERT!!!!
This last episode was the best in the entire season. Masterful buildup to a powerful climax, some pivotal moments to foreshadow key conflicts to come, and many characters finally arriving at who they were meant to be in this series. That said, I'm not sure I can watch this anymore.
This show is nothing but utter hopelessness week after week. And Rick, for all of his idealist naiveté, was one of the few bright spots. That Rick died with zombie Sofia.
Now more than ever, I just see little payoff for watching all this misery, other that some decent occasional gore.
[Edited 11/27/11 19:36pm]
I agree somewhat, but I'm definitely going to keep watching. I feel the same way about the hopelessness, which is why I always watch something else immediately after. I saw an interview with Robert Kirkman where he promised that other popular characters were going to die when the show comes back, and I immediately wondered if the zombie thrills would match up with the despair of the show. |

the cinematography still looks cute/bland, and some of the actors...uh...nevermind
and I just don't dig the reasonably smart/agile/fast zombies, I want my zombies dumb, slow and rotten...
I think I'll sitck with the original comics :-/
Can you describe what it is about the cinematography that looks cute/bland? I'm really curious about what you mean. |

I knew the little girl was going to end up a "walker". It was impossible for her to still be alive. @ least they don't have to look for her anymore.... |

they are using a completely realistic cinematography which isn't atmospheric at all, and even worse, it is way too shinny, not creppy at all, it looks like a random drama film...we have seen many horror movies with an amazing cinematography, Coppola's Dracula or Cameron's Aliens being evident examples; perhaps the TV technicians don't care that much about cinematography anwyay...

That was sad, expected but sad. If I were Lori I'd probably be so mentally messed up right now, probably wishing I'd let Carl go.
You know I hate this splitting up the seasons crap, it ain't natural. |

okay, so you don't like the naturally colored grainy look they go for, with minimal studio lighting. I think they do this style so it will seem more real and possibly more disturbing.
ALIENS and Coppola's Dracula have very controlled theatrical/dramatic lighting with colored gels. And they both have a very "movie reality" mood to the visuals. I always think of blue colored lights when I think of ALIENS.
It's funny though, I think ALIENS and Dracula have more "cute" processed look because I can tell that colored lighting is added and carefully controlled to make things look more dramatic. "Walking Dead" sometimes has more natural harsh grittiness like 1974's "Texas Chainsaw Massacre"to me.

I think that it actually adds to the "look" of the Story. All that's happened is that People have turned into Zombies, so theoretically the World / Landscape shouldn't look that different to its normal look. Apart from the area's where military intervention happened obviously
Life is short, don't be a dick.

i just hope the upcoming WorldWarZ doesn't have this natural style, though I doubt it... recent cinema keeps using this realistic but ultimately boring cinematography, including horror and action films... |

the adaptation of Max Brooks's (son of Mel) book of the same name , which is an AMAZING, and I mean A-M-A-Z-I-N-G horror/social-political satire book...
hopefully the film will feature elements of black comedy/satire but also non-stop action/gore...
co-produced by Brad Pitt, who's also the main star of the film...

I actually got it as a graduation gift.
It was a really, really good book.
