Ladies seriously, please stop projecting your own uncomfortable feelings about what I am saying on me. You don't like what I have to say about what SOME women do, again fine, but I was not talking about you personally.

Moreover, it would be a good idea to actually make a true effort in reading what I'm saying, instead of immediately jumping on me with unfound accusations and basically undermining your own position.

Lastly, I find it quite interesting how society and employers just need to accept whatever it is you want. Your husband STILL does not come into play now? Don't be surprised when reality comes crashing down on you.

I'm not attacking anyone. I was asked why I wrote what I did and I answered. He just didn't like the answer evidently. shrug

He has his opinion and I have mine, they're just polar opposites, that's all.

My two cents....

if anyone has a problem with your female problems...

then take off any protective gear... bleed EVERYWHERE you go... just LET IF FLOW ALL OVER THE PLACE.

Let the strawberries fall where they may....

then you will see HOW muthafuggen QUICK they send you home... they will BEG you to leave once they see ONE clot fall out.

lol No problems ever again from anyone about your female issues. r

I completely accept that some women have serious problems once a month and do not want to dismiss people with a genuine issue.

However, I work with a lot of women and this issue comes up a lot especially when dealing with male bosses. You mention female problems to them and they run a mile.

Personally, I don't get embarrassed and start asking questions. The responses I get make me think that women use it more as a get out clause than as a genuine problem.

I think those that do are despicable. People will stop believing female problems as an issue and won't believe whose with a serious issue.

I think that sick leave abuse isn't exclusive to women with so called "female problems". People use a whole host of reasons to play hooky from work. In my experience and from what I've read hangovers are a much more common reason that people call in sick. Are all people who play hooky from work despicable or just the ones who use the female problem excuse?

I'm not sure what makes you think you have a right to interrogate these women, but it's possible that the responses you got had less to do with their dishonesty than with you creating an awkward situation by asking inapproriate and invasive personal questions.

Whenever nosy, gossip mongers at my workplace approach me with their speculation about another employee's personal issues I always tell them that I'm not paid to monitor other people. We have a human resources dept. that keeps track of employee's time usage and that record is used when people are evaluated for raises or promotions, etc.

If it's a situation where another person's behavior is directly impacting my workload or otherwise affecting my ability to do my job, then I address my concerns to the boss to do the appropriate follow up. Other than that I tend to mind my own business.

Prince, in you I found a kindred spirit...Rest In Paradise.
