BEFORE & AFTER the drugs Now before anyone starts accusing me of trying to make light of or posting a 'joke' thread at the hands of junkies, let me be the first to say, this is not a joke thread.
In no way, shape or form do I want to make light of this particular topic. Additionally, I'm not posting these pictures simply to put on a freak show either.
But, I wanted to show the stark differences between the folks who start taking drugs (in this pics, it's mostly Meth users) and what can happen in a very short period of time. Aside from the obvious hygenic issues (they all seem to develop very poor skin and acne, along with having unkempt hair), there's a shocking look of....emptiness in most of them. The light in their eyes, had it been there before, is completely gone by the time you see their 'after' photos.
Most of us struggle with addiction--for me, it just happens to be sugar. So, I am no less a junkie than anyone else--I jsut so happen to be lucky because my drug of choice (Sugar) takes years to kill me.
I can kick table sugar. My life ain't tough.

Wow! These pictures should be shown to kids instead of any lecture. It is all right there. I remember waiting for a bus in Worcester, Massachusetts when a lady came over and was talking about heading back to the shelter where she was staying. She had a British accent and mannerisms that were very unlike what most people in my working class home town have. Her damn face looked like a cross between a fashion model and dawn of the living dead. Her bone structure was gorgeous and the skin, hair and teeth were gross as hell. I did not ask her about her life but I am sure it would make for a scary read. There came a time when the risk of remaining tight in the bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom. Those folks don't look too happy to begin with. Why is it that Keith Richards has been able to overcome his drug abuse and Sly Stone hasn't? There must be something in that person's life that makes them turn to drugs. I don't know. Those pics indeed serve as a warning.

We all turn to crutches whether it's drugs, religion, belief systems, work, family, so the answer is in yourself if you want to look.

Yeah I saw these as part of a Video that the police would show kids.

I know a little bit about Keith. Keith is very much a family man and loves having his kids around him. He also was close to his mother (who really was the one that raised his daughter Angela/Dandelion) and although estranged from his father, he did get back together with him as an adult. He is basically a one woman man too. What I am saying is that the people close to him seem to matter to him a great deal. I therefore think that if they seemed stressed by his self destruction it would get to him. He also is a bit of a workaholic. He is not the type to put down his music and crawl under a rock. Sly just up and walked away from his life at one point. He isolates and avoids people and it is said it is difficult for people to really get close to him. He is an extrovert on stage but something tells me he is anything but that live wire of a man once he is off the stage. I also heard that it destroys the teeth also. I'm so thankful I don't have the inkling to try this mess. I'm hyper enough as it is.

I saw this first hand when I worked with the police. Meth is poison. I'm firmly planted in denial

Is Meth, Crystal Meth? I honestly know nothing about drugs. I can not smoke pot because I get terribly paranoid every time. I figured that if I can't smoke pot and hate taking meds there is no reason for me to try any drugs. I always felt like I would be that girl that kills herself the first day she tried it. This is what I don't understand about drug use... particulary with crystal meth...
Why is the skin affected with what looks like lesions, because this doesn't look like acne to me. Is crystal meth a poison that affects the skin directly?
Crystal meth seems like a poison that eats away at the skin and gumline. IMO.... but I too know little about drugs.

yeah it's weird, but it kind of makes sense because it looks to be killing these people from the inside out. They age rapidly and wither away to a shell of themselves. Not surprising their skin would suffer.
It makes more sense that addiction is described as a disease. Not a disease like a virus or bacteria or genetic condition, but a diseased condition that the body is in nonetheless My Legacy

There is so much we do not know about the human body and how the brain adjusts the body to crave the chemicals it is expeosed to, heck we don't even know how many holes the nipples have.

Yes it is.
It is made literally from chemicals. I've always thought it incredible that a person doesn't just drop dead when they take a hit.
It is vile. I'm firmly planted in denial

Lindsy Lohan's dad was interview recently about his daughter's drug addiction. He thinks that she's on Meth.. and that is why her teeth are looking the way they r. They then showed a recent picture of her teeth and .. o.m.g they look horrible. I guess in a few years that picture of her will get a whole lot bigger. .....
