i am going to a party 2 day

and i am taking a garden salad and a Pav

everybody knows they r my 2 things i like to bring

what do u take when u go to parties???

It depends on what is needed, or what kind of party it is.

I like to bake cakes.

lately there hasnt been a party where friends n family have had to be responsible for all the food

I am insecure about my cooking. I like it but no one else ever does. I feel horrible if I bring something and no one eats it. It ruins the party for me in a big way. This means I call the hostess and ask what do you need? Chips, soda, cut up vegetables, ice, there is always something that the hostess failed to get enough of. Did I mention that i always go a bit late?

So, if you are sensative about your cooking, call just before the party starts and see what is needed. Paper plates, napkins, whatever.

there was potato salad and i 8 so much of it!!!! it goes well with BBQ

the pav went in a flash... i didnt even get a slither lucky 4 me there was other cake!!!!

thats me - i dont like to cook - so salads r always my thing

i like when ppl ask what to bring, esp last minute stuff!!!

And if it's a "party party" (by which I mean an actual event planned by the host and hostess, as opposed to an on-the-fly gathering), I always bring a hostess gift of some sort - usually a nice bottle of wine.

Not really because I want to be polite. I can't drink the cheap piss people here usually serve to guests.

This. Except for the desserst. I usually make a spanish tortilla, or thai fish cakes.

No one has posted any recipes yet. We have not had a recipe thread and I am eager for one.
