whoa. well, normally i'd be happy to oblige with that request but you're already looking a bit chafed from all your 'alone' playtime.

Believe it or not... I couldn't even engage in a flame war right now. I just don't have it in me.

In that case i'm sorry, just in case i put a wink in the post.

i was there ten years ago.My treatment? sit in a room with 10 strangers, close my eyes and listen to calming and soothing sounds, then discuss.I thought it was a load of bollocks so left after 3 weeks of that nonsense.

I'm unsure to this day whether i was truly depressed or not.

That was a unique treatment that they were giving you... mine was 600 milligrams of Serzone per day. I discontinued treatment... I shouldn't have.

I'll be honest, i was an outpatient at the local Nuthouse, i got sent there on a six-week course.I discussed my childhood and the usual stuff you hear about.I was on medication too but it was a long time ago so can't remember.A period of unemployment and having big responsibilities caused it, i think. It is a state of mind that you can get yourself out of though.

Good luck Ice.

I've been down myself for a while but sucicidal isn't an option.

For me it's winter, I've had enough! How about you?

The other thing is that you can receive unemployment if you're laid-off or they fire you (at least in MI).

Other suggestion, make them fire you. Act like a pyscho, don't do any work (see office space?), make them have no choice but to fire you.

With everything going on in the world (not to mention ouir lives), it's easy to find yourself down but change your perspective and play with your kid.

You could probably get disability payments due to mental illness. I'm not making fun of you, I'm serious. That would at least solve the job problem.

Take care of yourself.

I thought this might make me feel a little better reading about your depression but,it was making it worse for me to see how down you are.
Then I seen the little sunshine musetonopharoah posted.I think that was cute and helped me smile for about a minuet there.(Thanks)
Also, like Ian said ...I took a double shot of Goldslager to calm my nerves and relax my thoughts !

Ah, depression isn't something you can just miraculously cure. It's a case of living with it and surviving it.

That said, watching some old Monty Python vids usually gets me laughing pretty quickly smile And having a good old blast on my games consoles soon distracts me from how shit everything is around me biggrin

Did you know that in Ratchet & Clank on the PS2, you can disguise yourself as a big stupid b-movie robot, and when you wave hello at other security robots they wave back at you? biggrin Now that I know this, I can't stop running around waving at robots and laughing when they wave back.

Maybe I'm easily pleased.

Are we talking about real depression or sadness? The latter will pass and the former can indeed be rectified with some therapy and/or anti-depressants. Says Professor Despues. smile

OK Ice listen to me, drown your sorrows with Diet Pepsi--that's a good start. Now you really want something to go with that Deit Pepsi, right? I told you once before PIZZA is the answer to almost anything. big grin You just feel good after eating a pizza. Yummy! Now I want to watch American Idol tonight, they are showing the WORST auditions ever captured on film. lol Now if that doesn't make you laugh just a little bit, I don't know what will. Just thank your lucky stars you can sing, and have talent and that you didn't make a disgrace of yourself in front of millions of viewers. nod

Pizza is prescribed by many doctors! biggrin

I believe that pizza and Diet Pepsi could be the solution that I am looking for! I cannot tolerate commercial television, so I might have trouble with the "American Idol" part though. biggrin
