The Ohio Animal Massacre

http://abcnews.go.com/US/...d=14767017

Horrible story. Can't blame the cops, they had no choice. But there has to be stricter laws on this shit. As far as I'm concerned, no human being should be allowed to own a wild animal, PERIOD.

18 tigers lost... sad

now some people are trying to dig up the animals for their body parts... they may be going after their pelts and bones.

disbelief So now the police may have to exhume the bodies and cremate the animals to prevent scavengers trying to make a buck of the bones or something. sigh

This is a travesty. Ohio needs to amend its laws regarding ownership of wild animals. No one should be allowed to keep that many wild animals. I know the police had to put those animals down, but I bet some of them enjoyed the hunt even though they denied having to do it. sad

I agree... maybe with stricter standards the animals would have been kept better and not be such a nusiance to the neighbors. If the neighbors would have felt safer then maybe dude wouldn't have felt a need to blow his brains out.

This man killed himself and that is also sad... it is said that he had good ties with the film industry. The people who worked with him had a positive experience. It really is a crying shame how all this went down. disbelief

So what's the story about the owner blowing his brains out? Why did he do it? When I first heard about this, I got the impression that one of the animals turned on him and killed him. Was he depressed about something or just went nuts? I also heard on the news that the monkey was eaten by one of the lions. I guess the monkey was signafying. lol

Ohio is full of moronic people. Literally one of the dumbest states in our country.

Can't fucking believe that asshole had all those lions, tigers, and bears. (Oh my.)

nod His neighbors were putting pressure on him since the animals were kept in sub-standard conditions and the animals kept getting loose. So his neighbors were gonna get him shut down and or sued. He had mounting legal issues, so he opens the pens, cuts them open and puts a gun to his head. After he killed himself it is reported that one of the larger cats bit his head, after he was dead.

This story is so sad. I think if the state had higher/tougher standards he wouldn't of had as many animals or incidents and everyone would have been better off.
