flummoxes me how a thread of a child being run over and ignored - screaming in pain and then dying goes into a downward spiral of sensitivites of racist or non-racist comments and hurt feelings because of the written word. I remember years ago my father falling through a pane of glass and being completely lacerated. He had huge flaps of skin hanging from his arms and was very badly injured. My sister who was three at the time ran into the bathroom and came out with a box of bandaids, wanting to do nothing more than help.

I think as we get older our fear grows and takes away some of the most important parts of us.
