My 7 year old had $140 birthday money to blow

and guess what he bought mushy

(I told him not to waste his money on LEGO when it's not 25% off or I can't get someone to send me some from Wal·Mart)

This is him:

I don't know where those glasses came from confuse

The nearest shop that sells $140 glasses, most likely.

the camera was less than $100, so he has money leftover for something else another time, but I'm impressed! He has set it all up and read the instructions and is taking pics!

No joke, I pictured a Nikon Coolpix, lol. I bought an earlier model a few years ago for like $150. Bought a friend one for a b-day too.

It's fun when a child takes interest in a parent's hobby all on their own.

I'd bought him a really shitty camera that was about $7 last christmas, but he hated it, the LCD display didn't show the whole photo and it didn't have a flash and it made him cry so much I had to throw it away. This one is great, really basic, with NO VIDEO function so his annoying brother won't be interested in it rolleyes

I can't wait to see his pics.

Wouldn't it be great if you two could go on assignments together? Ride somewhere and then both take pics? And you can give him tips.

And when you get the pics developed, you can have them in a HIS n HERS photo album; your pics to the right, his to the left and it would be fun to see the differences.

When my kids were small before the age of digital cameras SHUT UP Id buy them the disposable ones, I always loved getting them developed and looking at what their little minds wanted to capture..

I still have most of the pics but the one that stands out in my mind was when they were playing in the backyard and GI Joe married a Spice girl! The scene was so cute!!

~~~~~ Oh that voice...incredible....there should be a musical instrument called George Michael... ~~~~~
