Have You Purchased a 2002 or 2003 Car or SUV? If So Please Post Here If you purchased a 2002 or 2002 car or suv please tell me what make/model you purchased and the year. I would also like to know if you are pleased with or feel there is room for improvement in the following areas:
Front passenger seating? Is there enough room? Steering/Handling Ability? Does it brake well? Road or wind noise? How is the accelration? Do you like the instrument/controls? Are they easy to read and reach? I'm in the market to purchase a new car and I have read the 2003 Consumers Guide For Auto Rating. However, I really want to hear what people think about the cars they drive. I want your first hand experience. Thanks.

If you buy an SUV you deserve to be shot.
How's that for my 2999th post? I mean, like, where is the sun?

I'm leaning towards a car, rather than an suv. However, if I purchase an suv I'll have to see if it will run on cat food since gas is so expensive right now.

2002 Mazda Miata LS. I would also like to know if you are pleased with or feel there is room for improvement in the following areas:
Front passenger seating? Is there enough room? Heh... it's a Miata. What do you expect? Seriously, I'm 5'8" and have no complaints, but then, I've always preferred smaller cars. Steering/Handling Ability? Does it brake well? I have never had a car that handled so well. I'm also very pleased with the braking ability. Road or wind noise? High, but it's a convertible--road and wind noise are unavoidable. How is the accelration? It's not a drag racer, but it feels very "peppy." Do you like the instrument/controls? Are they easy to read and reach? Yes--the layout is clear, and everything is easy to operate. You just have to be careful when shifting if you've got anything in the cupholders, which are placed behind the shifter, one in front of the other, in the center console. Hope this helps. Moderator | Actually my wife wants to trade in both of our cars for a new SUV.
So far, I've won every argument (Cause I'm the one working ya know?) But man does she have her heart set on getting one of those. Also, I just don't think I can get rid of my firebird. We've been through so much together! It's going to be really hard to retire my girl, I mean car. Anyone else feel that way about their car? All Rights Reserved. |

My husband and I bought a new Dodge Durango last summer 2002, It rides great but really it is a truck so its got that "truck feel" to it too. Noise is non exsistent. Brakes well, I tend to be a little quick on the brakes but it doesn't lurch when I brake. Accelerates great has a V8. Great stereo system. I don't drive it often so the handling is not good for me, but that is just because I am not used to the vehicle. I especially love the heat/air controls they are labeled passengers and driver so when my husband is boiling he can turn his heat down. We decided on the durango because it has 3 rows of seats and our family has grown, plus we can let all the seats down for hauling things and the dog.PLENTY of room for everyone.
Has a good safety rating, wider wheel base, Drawbacks GAS is expensive, it gets about the same milage as my car though (maxima) and car note is HIGH but we shopped around and got a good deal for the area we live in. I hear you on the "didn't want to give up my car" vibe. I love my maxima but we needed a bigger vehicle so he traded in his pick up and drives the durango. I am not a "truck girl". hope this was helpful.
