Over at her official Twitter account, former WWE Diva Kara Drew (aka Cherry) has lashed out over what she feels is the poor taste of WWE's latest piece of merchandise: A t-shirt for Raw GM John Laurinaitis with the slogan "Future Endeavored" emblazoned on it in giant letters.

The shirt is, of course, a play on WWE's habit of officially announcing the release of a talent, and wishing them the "best of luck in their future endeavors."

Laurinaitis, who is often the one burdened with the task of breaking the news to talent about their firings, has also become strongly associated with the the phrase, and it was widely speculated that when WWE officially trademarked the term "Mr. Future Endeavored" it was specifically for Laurinaitis to use on television.

Having been used for years, the phrase has almost become a running joke in wrestling, even being used on WWE on several occasions. No. 2 promotion TNA has also spoofed the term a few times on their programming.

Interestingly, WWE aren't even the first ones to come up the idea of a t-shirt proclaiming someone to be "Future Endeavored." Indie group Chikara has actually beaten them to it. Hmmm. We'll let the lawyers sort that one out.

Needless to say, Drew, who was released from her WWE contract in 2008 and now works as a tour guide at SeaWorld, fails to see the funny side of it, and wrote: "I have 2 say that the new "Future Endeavor" tshirt is pretty hurtful for me at least! A lot of dreams were crushed w that statement. Not cool."

While many have joked about it and even found the shirt amusing, Drew does have a very good point. Certainly losing what it is, for many, their dream job is no laughing manner nor something that should be mocked.

It could also be argued that by embracing "Future Endeavored" and turning into a punchline makes WWE look crass and cold-hearted. Granted, the "best of luck in your future endeavors" line didn't exactly sound sincere before, and now looks even more phony and transparent.

There's also one more troubling matter: WWE actually thinks people will buy a John Laurinaitis T-Shirt? What?
