The Pro Wrestling Thread #4 One more WWE match from Brock Lesnar? Hmmm...
http://espn.go.com/espn/t...=fullstory
THQBrock Lesnar returns to the ring in the new video game "WWE 12."My favorite thing about WWE video games? The ability to book dream matches. From "Stone Cold" Steve Austin versus CM Punk to Shawn Michaels taking on The Rock to Andre The Giant squaring off against The Big Show, the past few WWE games have given me the ability to play out matches that wrestling fans have drooled over and debated about for years.
"WWE 12" (Nov. 22, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii) is about to take dream matches to another level thanks to the inclusion of former WWE champion and current UFC badass and master of the beatdown, Brock Lesnar.
That's right, the man once dubbed "The Next Big Thing" in the squared-circle is now the next big thing in video games as he will be included in the main roster of "WWE 12," ready to do battle against everyone from John Cena and Alberto Del Rio to Randy Orton and Sheamus right out of the box.
I had the chance to ask Lesnar about his surprise appearance in the game, his WWE career and the chances we'll ever see him in a wrestling ring again. Here's what he had to say:
Jon Robinson: What does it mean to you that you're being brought back to the ring in "WWE 12" as a legend?
Brock Lesnar: What does it mean to me? I think it's an honor to be back. You know, I never had any really true hard feelings for WWE. It just wasn't for me. I think during the time that I spent there, I dominated the show. I was probably one of the true athletes in the company and for them to have me back in the video game, I think there's some mutual respect between the both of us that says, "Job well done" and "You are and were one of the great ones."
THQ"The One-Man Rock Band" catches a Brock beatdown.
Jon Robinson: There are so many guys in the WWE right now that you never had a chance to wrestle. If you could come back and wrestle any guy at Wrestlemania who you've never previously had a match with, who would it be?
Brock Lesnar: Ironically it's probably the guy that walked out on me. The guy that took his ball and went home. A guy that I was supposed to face and I think that he was just plain downright scared to get in the ring with me because he was one of those guys that was on top and saw a huge threat in Brock Lesnar at the time. That's "Stone Cold" Steve Austin. I worked with everybody and anybody that was anybody there and if I came back, I think the guy that I would come back to fight is "Stone Cold" Steve Austin.
THQ"The Next Big Thing" gets ready to deliver another huge F5.Jon Robinson: There were so many rumors floating around last year about you possibly facing Undertaker at Mania. What would the match have been like?
Brock Lesnar: I was a true wrestler. I was a Division I national champion. I came into the business wanting one thing and one thing only, and that was to be the champion, and I wasn't going to let anybody stand in my way. I think there was one guy that had a problem with that and that was Undertaker. If I were to have gotten in the ring with him I would have ripped his arm off and f------ beat him with it.
Jon Robinson: Do you have any say over your character in "WWE 12?" How do you want him to play?
Brock Lesnar: I don't need a say in my character, my character is a badass, and that's who I am and that's who I'll always be -- the baddest man on the planet, Brock Lesnar. I don't have to have any say in anything. It is what it is. I'm one bad dude.
Jon Robinson: Do you have any regrets about leaving WWE?
Brock Lesnar: I don't have any regrets. If I had any regrets, it would have been that I wish I enjoyed my time there a little bit better. I'm not a very good yes man, and I'm not very easily controlled.

Jon Robinson: Do you ever think you will go back and have one last WWE match?
Brock Lesnar: I think I will. I think under the right circumstances I will. I think if Vince McMahon and I were able to sit down at the same dinner table and break some bread that we could come up with some kind of game plan. At the end of the day, I'm an ultimate fighter. That's who I am and that's who I'll always be. I was an entertainer but at the end of the day, I'm still as real as it gets. I think a lot of things have to fall in the right places for something like that to happen.
Jon Robinson: What was your favorite WWE match that you were a part of? What made it so special?
Brock Lesnar: One match that really sticks out for me, there's a bunch of matches with all the guys that I worked with. For me, when I got in the ring, I approached it as being real, because I was a real character. I didn't have a gimmick name, I didn't have a gimmick finish. I was just thinking about this today, because I knew that I was preparing myself for an interview -- I put a lot of guys out of the ring because I was real. Looking back, I think that's what made me successful in the industry.
But looking back at one match, probably my most favorite match is the match that never happened. And that was the match that I was expecting to have with "Stone Cold" Steve Austin. I was really looking forward to that match.
THQBrock Lesnar delivers a brutal clothesline.Jon Robinson: You had some recent health scares. How are you feeling these days?
Brock Lesnar: My health? This surgery saved my life, it saved my career. I can't believe that I accomplished what I did with this sickness that I had. All I can say is -- look out.

You KNOW they have to be begging him to come back "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

Hell yeah they're begging! With their lack of star power right now, I'm surprised they havent brought back Doink the Clown for a possible title run.

Damn, Tomko! Are things THAT bad?! I hope he really gets some help this time! I don't know why he hasn't tyaken the WWE's offer up for free treatment. I guess he's probably just not ready and hasn't hit his "rock bottom" (no jokes, please

Crikey, he does love himself a bit doesn't he....during his time with WWE he was the biggest star they had? I don't think so. He was good, but he wasnt that good. Rock, Trips, Taker, Angle, etc...he needs to give some props to the people that helped make him...pro wrestling isnt a one man show. You can see why people like 'Taker aren't too taken with him.
But you're right...WWE need anyone they can to right their sinking ship at the mo! www.filmsfilmsfilms.co.uk - The internet's best movie site!

man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

When you think about all the folks they've let go in the past couple of years....people who had TALENT but kept lame performers instead, you see why folks aren't tuning in anymore "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

You can watch their weekly programs on their own website. But, your local Sinclair channel may be broadcasting it every Saturday too, so I'd go to https://www.rohwrestling.com/ where it may air in your neck of the woods! But if it doesn't, like I said, you can still watch their shows straight from their site.

Oh God! I just read where the muthafuckin' Muppets will be on Raw this coming Monday! Why not have Cena have a match with the Cookie Monster and Oscar while they're at it??!
Again, THIS is why the WWE will never get another dime from me! Even their classics on demand subscription site, which I recently cancelled a couple of months ago. I refuse to support them and give them my money when they constantly shovel shit our way and shit on the fans that were responsible for making the WWE the juggernaut it is today back in the late 90s.

I read where Cole said something about the Muppets doing commentary Monday?
As if their shit wasnt ridiculous enough as it is.
I'm tellin you...ROH and the PRO WRESTLING ARK channel on youtube (Pro Wrestling NOAH) is where it's at!

Looks like WWE sacked Miz's real-life girlfriend!
What's kind of messed up about this is she was injured a few months ago and had surgery. So, she was on the mend, getting ready to come back, and they cut her while she was rehabbing from an injury she got while working FOR them. That's fucked up.

I just have no words for this...
http://latimesblogs.latim...-leno.html The Muppets take TV, crash WWE 'Monday Night Raw'
Word of warning to the WWE grapplers: Miss Piggy packs a mean punch.
She and her Muppet pals are scheduled for their first guest appearance on USA Network’s “Monday Night Raw” on Halloween, where they’ll plug their upcoming musical flick, “The Muppets.” WWE producers, who routinely script celebrity guests into their live events, won’t say exactly what the Muppets will be doing when they share the ring in Atlanta with the likes of The Viper, John Cena and Sheamus.
But chances are good, if the teaser clip below is any indication, that fans will get Miss Piggy’s signature karate chop accompanied by her high-pitched “hiiii-ya” battle cry. Duck and cover, Kelly Kelly.
Monday’s guest stint is just one of a slew of TV appearances for the Muppets ahead of the Nov. 23 film, their first big-screen feature in a dozen years. The lovable puppets, at once diminutive and larger than life, have been stumping for weeks already and will turn up the heat as the Thanksgiving movie premiere gets closer.
And they’re not sticking to kid-targeted shows and networks. They’re popping up in equal measure in places like late-night TV, where adults make up most of the audience. The goal for Disney, which now owns the iconic Jim Henson-created property, is to appeal to people who grew up with the Muppets so they’ll see the movie with or without kids in tow.
“It’s a classic attempt to get a crossover audience,” said Peter Sealey, former studio marketing chief who’s now a marketing professor at Claremont’s Drucker School of Management. “They can’t get that by just marketing to parents with toddlers.”
The only downside would be the potential to turn off moms who might think such guest appearances signal an edgier movie, Sealey said. (The flick is rated PG for “some mild rude humor.” According to the trailers, there are plenty of fart jokes).
That the whistle-stop tour includes a trip to “Monday Night Raw” makes sense to those behind the sports-entertainment series, which regularly ranks in the top 10 most-watched shows on cable. “‘Raw’ is a generational show where lots of different ages watch together,” said WWE spokesman Robert Zimmerman. “And we reach a lot of families and kids, which matches up well with the audience for this movie.”
Playing on adult viewers’ sense of nostalgia, Kermit the Frog will chat it up on “The Tonight Show With Jay Leno” and “Ellen” in the coming weeks. The novelty of having costumed characters in unlikely places like adult-centric talk shows can only be an advantage, Sealey said.
Miss Piggy will stop by “The Tonight Show” on Nov. 4 as a follow-up to a recent appearance. The shapely blond pig opened the show in late August when the band, OK Go, performed its updated rendition of “The Muppet Show” theme with crazy-haired Animal on drums.

I wonder who he's talking about. Either way, it doesn't surprise me one bit. But still...Michael Hayes??!

I actually think having the Muppets on is a great idea and it's gonna be good.
Yeah, they're mostly known for being a kid's show and movies, but they've always had some stuff for older viewers. Sorta like Shrek is today.
I hope the introduce Kermit to his doppleganger, The Miz. JERKIN' EVERYTHING IN SIGHT!!!!!

Well, let's see who we have to choose from:
A.J. Aksana Alicia Fox Kaitlyn Layla Nattie Rosa Mendes Tamina
I think of all them, it might be Rosa. AJ, Aksana, Kaitlyn, and Tamina are just too new to be doing that (I would think anyway

Lol! I had to look them up on WWE's website, so I didn't know their asses either!!
I don't think Kelly Kelly's considered Smackdown, so that's why she's not up there, BUT I have heard rumors that she's kinda like that too. So, maybe she was on SD at some point and that's who they're referring to. Hmmm... Well, Eve's a MUCH better catch than that skinny bitch anyway! K2 does NOTHING for me, looks-wise and definitely in the damn ring!

Probably the best documentary the WWE has put out. Really emotional, really in depth. They go into their entire careers, not just the Montreal Screwjob.
Great DVD! JERKIN' EVERYTHING IN SIGHT!!!!!
