Nah, they paying for they own drinks. I decided to serve some finger foods at the after party too tho, plus, cake, candy station and strawberry cheesecake popcorn as a favor.
I'ma get the popcorn from a local shop. I may do the blackberry popcorn separately or mix it with the strawberry cheesecake since it's black. Not sure yet.
Strawberry Cheesecake popcorn
Luscious cream cheese, rich vanilla, and sweet strawberry are combined and tossed with real graham cracker crumbs for a spot-on taste to cure your cheesecake cravings, without a visit to the fridge.
Blackberry popcorn
Sweet Blackberry is unique among the traditional candy popcorn flavors with bold berry notes. Tasts just like Grandma's cobler
Damn I've not heard of strawberry cheesecake popcorn. That sounds soooo yummy!
That ain't NUTHIN! My fave is the Smores but it doesnt go with party's color scheme. I love this place cuz you can go in there and sample to your heart's content
S'mores popcorn
No campfire needed to enjoy this fun flavor that covers our popcorn with ribbons of marshmallow cream and chocolate, mixed with chocolate covered graham cracker pieces and chunks of chocolate candy bar.

I've never tasted anything that wasn't wonderful. Even the savory flavors are great even tho I'm more of a sweet/nutty flavors girl. The loaded baked potato and pizza were surprisingly good. |

Thank yew! I live to plan parties and events. When I'm home I'm constantly finding reasons to host some kinda party or get together for my friends. In the winter, when it finally cools off, we go out at least once or twice a week, so there's always something to do.

Tis my favorite time of year cuz we have a bday party or get together almost every weekend from the the first week in October to NYE. We stay in party mode down here.
One of my girls turns 50 this month and is having a party tonight hosted by her friends and another one next Friday that she's hosting, just because. Homegirl, don't look a day over 35 and is fine as hell so she gives me hope.
Bring on the partays! |

I feel your pain. Actually, they started opening a couple gourmet popcorn shops in town a couple years ago, but it's such a novelty & incredibly expensive---so I pretty much pretend like all I have here is plain, too.

I shat fire for two days over little black ornamental peppers I ate with the heat index around a paltry 30,000..... that's less than caynenne (50,000) never mind that ghost pepper shit ... you are crazy as hell for that.

In 1912 a chemists by the name of Wilbur Scoville, working for the Parke-Davis pharmaceutical company, developed a method to measure the heat level of chile peppers. The test is named after him, the "Scoville Organoleptic Test". It is a subjective dilution-taste procedure. In the original test, Wilbur blended pure ground Chiles with sugar-water and a panel of "testers" then sipped the solution, in increasingly diluted concentrations, until they reached the point that the liquid no longer burned their mouths. A number was then assigned to each chile pepper based on how much it needed to be diluted before they could no longer taste (feel) the heat.
The pungency (or heat factor) of chile peppers is measured in multiples of 100 units. The sweet bell peppers at zero Scoville units to the mighty Naga Jolokia (Ghost Pepper) at over 1,000,000 Scoville units! One part of chile "heat" per 1,000,000 drops of water is rated at only 1.5 Scoville Units. The substance that makes a chile so hot is called Capsaicin
Here's a list of peppers and their scores http://ushotstuff.com/Heat.Scale.htm
I love growing different peppers. This past summer I had 20 pepper plants, all diffrent variaties. But last year I planted an orange habanero pepper seedling. That mofo sprang gangbuster peppers. I had at least 75-100 of those lil mofos on one plant. Me and my stupid ass gonna "experiment" and picked one off the plant and popped it in my mouth. I thought my ass was gonna die! I got rid of them by offering them to the hispanic guys who installed my new roof. They were happy as pigs in shit to recieve them and I was glad to be rid of them, the peppers not the workers. So this past summer, I steered clear of anything hotter than jalepeno. I can eat those like grapes.
