What new TV shows are worth watching? USA

What new programs on television are worth watching this season?

I hear the Playboy Club bit the bullet after only 3 weeks.

I keep meaning to catch Terra Nova but keep missing it.

Any recommendations?

I still miss watching LOST. Loved all seasons, including the last one.

I liked the new episode of Two and a Half Men, though I still think Charlie should come back again (too bad they killed his character for good).

I would love to get into The Wire ( I know I am waaaaay to late, but still lol ).

I think I would like The Shield.

I kind of lost track as far as Californication is concerned....it ended with season 2 or 3 over here and I didn´t continue following it on the internet.

I also lost my interest in Nip And Tuck when it was still on, I stopped when they moved to Cali....maybe I should watch the remaining seasons online.

Out of all the shows you mentioned, the only one I have watched with any sort of frequency is 'Two and a Half Men'.

The Shield is still on??? lol

The past year has been a black hole for me as far as television. Other than True Blood and stuff on the Food Network, I haven't watched anything religiously (not even my beloved 'Fringe' sad )

I kind'a wanted to see if I could latch onto something new.

playboy club was cancelled after 3 eps. i was looking forward to this as hugh heffner is my idol and mentor, but the show was boring. it should have been on cable instead of network tv

pan am is the mad men copy that does work though

and homeland is pretty excellent too, with claire danes and damien lewis. it's by the producers of 24, but more like rubicon in pacing and style

2 broke girls is okay, new girl is okay, in fact most of the new half hour comedies are okay. up all night, etc

terranova started well but i think it might be a bit boring from now onwards. they need some ancient alies shit to keep it interesting

death valley on mtv is pretty good. a zombie/werewolf/vampire horror in the style of COPS. mockumentary

hart of dixie is typical one tree hill type stuff about a girl doctor from nyv who moved to dixieland

the ringer is okay. nothing special

persons of interest is pretty good. the new jj abrahams show

unforgettable is okay. it's a bit like a female version of the damien lewis show life, but more boring

against the wall is okay. girl internal affairs stuff

I just checked out PAN AM because it's kind of cult favorite in term of they impact they had on the world of style during that era. If you were a Pan Am chick with a Vidal Sassoon haircut back then you were the bomb. lol . On a scale of 1-10 Wendy Williams gave it a rating of 6 with a bullet, so I'm giving it a chance, even though it's clear they have a total hard-on for "Mad Men" lol

Prime Suspect, Pan Am, the show with Christina Applegate is OK.... not as funny as it was hyped to be, and Revenge is pretty good so far....

Tera Nova sucks.

All the others .... just didn't grab my interest...

but none of those shows are nearly as good as Parenthood and Modern Family.... those two are MY shows!

up all night. it's not bad. will is pretty plain acting in it. none of his OTT stuff. mya is the only one that's a bit woo in it. xtina is her usual hotness. it's basically a couple with a kid who realise they aren't that cool anymore and getting older, but they are trying to keep their coolness, but not doing well

pan am in easy on the eye, but they have some kinda story going for it, whilst playboy wasn't sexy enuff and the story was boring as fuck. and how can you make a story about the playboy clubs and make it boring? stick it on network tv

I watched the first one, and wasn't thrilled with it. I DVR'd the 2nd one, but I haven't watched it yet. Maybe this weekend. I told my coworker that felt it was too "Mad Men". lol

For me:

- Boardwalk Empire

- Big Bang Theory

- Criminal Minds (my fave!)

I really like "The Big C" on HBO, but the season just wrapped up. (I cried!!! bawl)

"Weeds" got corny. confused

I know I didn't name any new ones, but nothing grabbed me in previews. shrug

revenge was boring

modern family has lost its touch a bit. same with parenthood. no minka kelly this season and no fox to replace her

plenty of other good returns this year, such as sons of anarchy, boardwalk empire, dexter, hawaii 5-0 (with john lock and jin from lost this season)

shows that are boring so far this year, desperate housewives (at least it's the final season),true blood, big c, hung

shows that unfortunately finished this year, entourage

shows that finished but should return, californication, louie, curb your enthusiasm

meh shows, harrys law, haven, body of proof

ok shows, flashpoint

shows to return - chuck (final season)

shows i'm wondering about the return - bored to death

shows strangely ok this season - glee

True Blood saved HBO for me.

After The Sopranos I really had no reason to keep the subscription. Just when I had decided to cancel it, True Blood came along and WOW!!!

I also like Curb Your Enthusiasm (but I missed the whole last season) and I also liked Hung but missed half the season.

So HBO is saved.

New Girl and Pan Am are the only two that stuck for me.

And New Girl probably won't last long (for me) unless it can maintain a high level of funny. I only checked it out for Zooey, but she won't be enough to keep me around indefinitely. They ordered enough episodes to take it to 24 for this season, which is actually quite a lot these days. So clearly somebody is liking it enough to sell ads.

Pan Am, I don't know, I'm diggin' it. It just LOOKS incredible, has a bunch of attractive women in the cast, and so far they've hooked me with the flashbacks, CIA spy stewardess storylines and the "see the world" aspect of the show. Plus, did I mention how good it looks? Also, Christina Ricci... its a personal thing. lol

Terra Nova was AWFUL! I'm already done with that show. If Stevie wasn't involved it never would have made it past the pilot stage.

Boardwalk Empire definitely started out great right out of the gates this season. I was actually surprised how much I had missed those characters and their stories. Its not actually new, though. And if you haven't seen the first season A LOT of the finer points would be lost. It may even be a little confusing, but still well worth watching. Its definitely one of the best things on tv (cable).
