THIS made me CRY. (DEAF Woman HEARS for the FIRST time)

She's 29 years old, and born deaf.

I'm not sure why this touched me so, but it's shaken me to my core.

Maybe it's because I'm really in the mood for some hope in this world these days. lol

It's beautiful.

That could be so overwhelming, especially long term

I can't imagine what it would be like to suddenly have another sense

I got the distinct feeling that this woman was having a great deal of trouble

understanding the spoken word actually. She was also very aware of and

distracted by the fact she was being video-taped, and maybe even distracted by

her husband.

Seriously, I can't imagine how overwhelming that would be..the emotions going on

inside even though she isn't showing them much.

That was beautiful, makes you appreciate all the little things we take for granted that many others have never known, Hearing and Sight being just two of those. In a World as grim as the one we live in, it is always nice to see something so positive.

Thank You biggrin

It is. Sometimes seeing people getting all emotional like that can make me get a lump in my throat. But so far I haven't shed any tears myself. I'm sure it'll happen before long though.

1) She is hawt

2) would it have killed the therapist to give the girl a hug?

3) her speaking voice was not typical of people who are deaf

3) Yes, the cynical in me found this slightly suspicious as well. But I guess there might be different kinds of deafness and therefore different effects on the voice? I don't know. confuse

Hey loudmouth, shut the fuck up, right?
