Every single designer seems 2 be on a diffrent page with cloths as it relates 2 size. I would NOT buy a thing online unless I knew the designer. U have 2 try stuff on.............90% of the time my "size" does not fit.

Maybe that is whty my tailor loves me so.

If you're man is fashionable, but straight, then you

can alsways try bluefly.com It's not the cheapest

because the brands are mid-to-higher end, but

I think it's last season's stuff. So straight men get

the best of both worlds--fashion, and discounts.

It's like rolling dice with gay men though.

I hope they man you're dating isn't gay.

I've never bought clothing on-line. The way a size fits you varies from brand to brand or even from style to style within the same brand! I can fit a small shirt, a medium shirt or even a large shirt depending on the brand & style.

RIGHT NOW...my favorite store is a local discount department store chain called "Century 21". They have brand-name stuff at deep discounts...like Marshall's or T.J.Maxx but bigger and with better variety. If you have a T.J. Maxx near you it's worth checking out, but it's a hit-or-miss thing with them and you pretty much need to go every week or so and check out what stuff has come in.

Otherwise, check out Macy*s. They've really done a good job of broadening the selection so that you can get good-quality stuff at decent prices (I especially love the Clearance racks!!!).

Believe it or not, I've also found good stuff at Sears. They carry the Structure brand (used to have their own stores) and the stuff is well-made and looks good.

Also...Kohl's (if you have one near you) has good stuff at good prices. If you have one near you check it out, if not go to their website. But with them, you get awesome discounts with their credit card and coupons.

Of course, I'm basing my recommendations on my own need to shop on the cheap. When I finally have some bank in my pocket, I'll just hit Banana Republic or Armani Exchange and have some blond college babe pick out my clothes, sparing no expense.

lol

No Macy*s?!?!? eyepop

I think by you the chain is Dillard's(?) - I don't know if they employ the same corporate buyers (doubt it).

Century 21 is a well-established, national real estate company so I don't know what possessed them to name a department store the same.

disbelief

But def check out Sears, and if you scrounge through the Clearance racks at Kohl's you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Same here, unless I'm very familair with the designer. Even then, it may not be the fit you're looking for. There is nothing like going to the store and trying clothes on to make sure you're going to be satisfied with it. But, I understand the convenience of shopping online. Last time I ordered a piece of clothing on line, I ordered an extra large hoodie. I wasn't familiar with the designer but when it came, it looked like a 3x!!!

I once tried on 2 pairs of jeans at (now defunct) Steve & Barry's.

Same jean, one 34x30 and one 33x30.

The 34x30 was too tight and the 33x30 too loose.
