Phantom Jobs....

IstenSzek, me, ajd and Jasper last week came to the conclusion that we all have phantom jobs and live with the constant fear of 'possible useful employment'.

It seemed like a good idea, to start a sub-culture on the org of people with phantom jobs, so we can help each other true another long day at 'work'.

FYI, a phantom job, is a job where others at work think you actually have a occupation, but in reallity, you don't and spend all your time at the org.

So far, the community consists of me, IstenSzek, ajd and Jasper.
When we have enough members, we will claim our own Forum!

Let's hear it for phantom-jobs!

It was ok. It´s always fun to talk to other Prince fans and
discussing stuff for the future. Where were you?

Oh heck, I'm a little bit on the late side this morning,
but that's because I spent 2 hours already, reading my
photo-copies of Joost Zwagerman's "Gimmick" which I've
copied last week and put into a little file-map.

That way it seems like I'm very concentrated and reading
all kind of reports and statistics, whilst in fact, I'm
enjoying some dutch pulp-fiction.

I've even thrown in some graphics and tabulatures just to
make it look like an official document.

I have done the same...photo-copying some college-books so I can study them while it looks like work documentation.

Just spent another half hour looking for Magritte paintings
on the net, to see if I could find something to use as a
new avatar.

And since I saw a documentary on "Botero" on tv last night
I decided to check out his work this afternoon, just in
case I get bored with reading.

Yup, it's monday morning again smile

That´s a pretty good one! So I have to bring my book tomorrow so I can copie it.

I have a paper stand over my keyboard (infront of my monitor) that´s where I put magazines, or printed out websites. So when people see me reading that they think I read work related stuff.

Another cool advantage of a "Phantom Job" is the ability
to go home at the end of the day and complain to your
spouse that you've had a real hard day with meetings, lots
of work, lots of stress and that you're really very very
tired.

But, hey, you'll still help with the dishes or do some
chores around the house. Simply because you're that kind
of guy.

smile

Note to self: make sure org history is deleted from home
computer.

Just found out my book actually ís online, so no more photo-copies needed. So I go and study now.

Repeadly beat my head against the wall out of pure boredom.

Imagine my foot connecting to my boss's ass repeadly cause he does not know his head from a whole in the ground.

Daydream alot about me and a certian UPS (United Parcel Service) guy.

Wish I was somewhere else.

Play evil jokes on my co-workers.

Take an hour break instead of half an hour.

take a 15 minute break exactly 15 minutes after I took my first 15 minute break.

Whatever passes the time usually.
