Sometimes, the downside to being physically attractive could be some people don't take you seriously as a person. You're some sort of empty headed person with a pretty face, and this is without them getting to know you. Sure, empty headed people are out there, whether attractive or unattractive, but don't jump the gun. Not logical at all. Otherwise, it can have its benefits.

If you're an attractive woman it might be "wonderful" and get you places ...us guys are just that shallow (most of the time). Unless you're coming up against another woman. My experience is that women hate attractive women, sometimes even after they get to know them and realise they are actually nice!!

I've had friends who are ugly women and my missus seemed to like them...but I've had friends that are attractive women and my missus is automatically looking for things she doesnt like about them and convincing herself they are "bitches"!

As for attractive men, I dont think it makes anywhere near as much difference. You could look like Brad Pitt but if a woman isnt into it, you're getting nowhere!! Take your wonderful looks and head home brother!!

Although this kind of behaviour is not displayed by all women, it certainly seems to be more of the norm than not.

I think it comes from that preconceived notion that attractive women are threatening to their self-esteem and to their man. In the back of their mind, they're homewrecking, man stealing wenches, regardless if they're not. Not all attractive women are that way, nor do they all have high self-esteem, and not all unattractive women have low self-esteem, and I have witnessed some man stealers from both types in my lifetime.
