Well folks if you arose this morning and logged on to FB you'll see that they have offically rolled out FB8. This update includes a jumbled newsfeed and a pointless scrolling ticker on the side.They claim the changes are supposed to keep the user on FB longer because the user will see more of what's important to them. Shit, what if you can't even find what's important becuase it is so jumbled. Honestly, I think the place is starting to become as messy as My Space with the new changes. It may be the start of Facebook's decline. I really wondered if they have test marketed the changes enough.

Facebook marketing suggestion: Don't overload the user with too many featues. You may end up confusing the user and end up alienating them. The user will then lose interest.

It's funny that they say they're changing things so people will stay longer, because all I ever hear is people bitching anytime they update anything.. why don't they just leave stuff the way it is? Oh well.. I personally don't care... I still have a Facebook account, but I haven't really used it in a year or so, and these new changes aren't working to bring me back..

I hate it too, it's pissing me the hell off as well. I would like to personally bitch-slap the idiot(s) who think these changes are so wonderful, because they're not. These so-called "improvements" are making me like Facebook less and less. But I hate to leave it, because I have org friends and family members on my friends list.

I suggest that anybody who is not liking the changes to Facebook to send them a note, to let them know how you feel. I did that, but it's going to take a lot of people bitching to make them see that their so-called improvements are nothing but bullshit. If it ain't broke, don't fix it, I always say. I don't know what the hell Facebook is thinking, but they're not using their brains at all.

It all ready has. I have been a "member" for about a month. As for the changes to FB, things change. You either go with it, change it or leave it alone.

I don't like it either. I don't need this top story business.

The tool on the right that lets me know all the things my friends are doing on FB is quite nice for stalking though.

Facebook appears to be scared enough of Google+ that they're trying to distract us with silly, pointless new features. Still, I recall several 'petitions to restore the OLD facebook' over the years; they never worked, and we all just got used to it, anyway. Same thing'll happen now.
