House Fear ...

Are you ever afraid in your own home ?

Is it a fear of something outside trying to get in ?

Is it a fear of something inside ?

Is it a certian area or room ?

What brings up thoughts / feelings that in turn brings you to notice and step into your fear ?

What do you do to sooth yourself and let the fear subside ?

Are you afraid of any other homes ~ like friends or family ?

Does it make you not visit them as often ?

Have you told them your feelings ?

Do they too have fears within their homes ?

You've been asking around about me haven't you? lol

It's funny, but I am a hermit that is afraid of his house. Usually it's a fear of something getting in. I keep a knife upstairs because you never know. Sounds crazy I imagine, but better safe than sorry. Also the wildlife around here. I just KNOW it's a matter of time before something finds a way in. Possum, snake...something. And I don't buy the whole "They're so much more afraid of you" shit. When the fuck did we invent something that measures the fear within an animal? These animals been around forever and they know good and damn well that a man-made house is NOT their normal habitat. I mean does a bird leave its nest in the trees and walk into a foxhole? NO. Cuz it fucking knows that there's danger there and it knows it's afraid of a fox. These other animals...they just don't give a fuck.

Back to my fear of my house though. It creeps me out sometimes. Like I swear I will hear music or some shit coming up the vent from the basement.

It's just a matter of time...

Probably. I have one in my shed that needs sharpening. Of course, that's likely what the killer that emerges from the woods behind my house will use to kill me. I better move that shit inside. I don't want death by dull machete.

Here is the shed. Behind it is all woods. I took this a few nights ago with the deck light on, but forgot I had the camera set to B/W. Anyhow, this image resulted

There's a great view of it from window of the guest room that was left with a blood red light with fish swimming around it when I moved in. This picture does it no justice.

You can't see the hand-drawn Disney Princesses picture that was also left in the room. A nice touch.

I can actually understand that. Not saying I have that fear on that level, but I get how it could be scary. Mine has its own door thankfully.

What's odd is their last house had a basement, and they weren't afraid of it, but it had two doors. I'm not sure what difference one door makes? Their new basement isn't even scary, it's actually really nice.

In the house I grew up in, I used to be scared of the basement & the garage. The older I got, the basement became my favorite hangout spot, but the garage had raccoons & possums hidden somewhere. So I used to hate to go in there at any age..... lol

Oh, & a couple of squirrels did make a home in our roof at one point [heard a lot of scratching & running up there shake ], but we killed them with BB guns & fixed the roof.....

When I was younger I was, yeah. Especially in the dark. I would walk down a hallway and get a totally irrational wave of fear. Sometimes it was for no reason at all, sometimes it was because I thought somebody else was in the house. But it hasn't happened since my early to mid-twenties, I'd guess. Conincidentally, right around the time I stopped doing speed and acid. lol

i don't feel like that here, now, but have felt creepy vibes in other places. i used to see a clear, moving blur 'walking' down the hall; i would sometimes feel someone standing behind me and a light touch on my shoulder.

i think energy shadows like that one are everywhere. but, some places are creepier than others.

Love my house. It's hard for me to go in my basement. We have had some stuff go on down there so that's probably why. Every once in a while I feel like someone's there with me but i think that's either my mom, cousin or two best friends that passed.

Mine's long and pointy (the MACHETE mad) so I don't bother sharpening because I would charge forward with it (as taught by my mom who once used it to get an intruder out of her home in PR) rather than swing and try to slice. Unless the intruder has a gun (which would be likely now days lol) I'm making intruder-kabob.
