how do u feel about flocks of tourists visiting your city??? i like them, and i like how they often ask me to take pics 4 them... i click several times i hope they appreciate and remember me when viewing the waist down pics i take
i am still waiting 4 one of them 2 ask me if i could hold their bum bags
but the best thing i luv about them is how they pretend not to notice their foreigh coins amongst our money when they pay 4 things

First , where are you from? It does not say on your org page. Actually it does not say much of anything on your org page and you need to do something about that so that we can ask you halfway decent questions. So....go fix your page so I can There came a time when the risk of remaining tight in the bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom. Anais Nin.

Not much, they sometimes ask if I can take a picture, but not often. One time many years ago a Japanese tourist took a picture of me because of my outfit
They sometimes ask for directions and if I can help them I always do if they ask in a language I understand

That's what I like about where I live. I am close enough to NYC that I can go there whenever I want, but I go home to my nice quiet, suburban existence.
When I do go into NYC (Midtown), I can't STAND tourists. I go there for specific things, and I hate navigating crowded sidewalks filled with people looking up, wandering aimlessly, or flocking in groups.
But at least I can go home... "Love Hurts. Your lies, they cut me. Now your words don't mean a thing. I don't give a damn if you ever loved me..." -Cher, "Woman's World"

Where I am it's usually larg movie sets and actors and all that BS that comes with using these beautiful mountians and it's stunning little towns to make their almighty movies ~ it disturbs the natural flow ... and lack luster wanna bes with thir big city foo foo ... yeah ---- THAT sucks
as for the normal flow of seasonal visitors... that's not so bad really ...it's remoteish here so they come for a day and flee off to the city to insure their comfort and safty ~ Laughs !!!

Oftentimes irritated. They rent bikes and bike around without realizing that they participate in traffic.
I love taking photos's for them. Smiling and holding hands on the skinny bridge or some other romantic scenery.
Season is over here, so, it's okay again. 99% of my posts are ironic. Maybe this post sides with the other 1%.

When I lived in Provincetown, Massachusetts it was the worst because the town is only 3 miles long
and wondering lost people, especially on bikes, was a nuisance. We got a bunch of French
Canadians who were not always very nice. They were the most unpopular tourists we had.
When I lived in Atlanta and then again in New Orleans it was fine. Only when it became close to Fat
Tuesday in New Orleans did I have the same feeling that I did in Provincetown; that it was all a bit
too much. In general I like people and answering questions and taking pics. I also ask them a
of questions about themselves as well. [Edited 9/24/11 8:39am] There came a time when the risk of remaining tight in the bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom. Anais Nin.

I've always lived in places that were meccas for tourists. Tampa, Florida, outside of Frankfurt, Germany, Bangkok Thailand, Alabaster, Alabama---those types of places.

Is that where you were born, Alabaster? Was it like Worcester Massachusetts were you know from maybe the age of 8 that you are getting the hell out of here at 18? There came a time when the risk of remaining tight in the bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom. Anais Nin.

I like tourist visiting my city! It makes Baltimore seem less gross and rejected when people stop here (even if they are just passing through to DC)
HOWEVER, I say this as a person who primarily takes the Metro in to the city...My coworkers who drive to work hate the tourism for makig traffic worse than it already is.
The Grand Prix here earlier this month made things crazy on the roads If you will, so will I
