"The Sing-off" looks like another piece of crap Holy Bejeezus, I saw the ads for this on MSN and nearly puked. How about, instead of another pathetically lame karoake contest featuring songs and renditions of songs I wouldn't hoist upon my worst enemy, a best band contest? How about celebrating people who can actually play instruments? What a novel concept in the musical age of auto-tuned, karoake-type computerized garbage.

Exactly! I hate all those "American Idiot" type shows. A good voice means absolutely nothing to me without good music behind it. I could care less about how good somebody can sing. All I care about is how good somebody can throwdown! Andy is a four letter word. | |

They tried that about three years ago, but it tanked miserably. It was the same people who produced American Idol who did a best band show.
I 'm a big fan of American Idol, though I think all those shows are going to go downhill very soon. The networks are oversaturating the airwaves with all of these talent shows like American Idol, The Voice, The X Factor, The Sing Off, America's Got Talent, etc. The whole genre is being run into the ground just like Who Wants To Be a Millionaire and Deal or No Deal were. They were both good shows that people got sick of because they were on all the time.
