DOWNTON ABBEY!

That was a promising start of the second season! Lots of intrigue set up to last us a long time.

And omg, Matthew was soooo fatalistic. Does it mean we'll have a new heir soon?

I liked that they introduced a new girl in the household. And that Sybil decidedly went for what she wanted. And it wasn't Tom. You know she'll come home with a one legged chap.

.I really should get the names right-edit

I usually just stick to trashy television and educational television.

I'll watch basketball wives then turn to some doc on Ulysses S Grant.

I need to venture out more.

If that's what you like, that's what you like!

Downton Abbey is a British costume drama, very lushly filmed, great actors, amazing sets. It just won a string of Emmy's.

I watch entertaining acting shows, I suppose. It needs to be good in what they do; they are so many crappy series. I love varied stuff, from court room drama The Good Wife to fantasy epic Game Of Thrones.

It all needs to tie together; great writing, amazing acting, good story, etc.

My mother loves The Good wife and Modern Family.

The Game of Thrones is a good series, probably the only series i watch.

Not a bad series to follow. Long wait for the new season, though. But in the meantime there are dozens of new shows to check out. Most of them not up to my standards, I think.

OMG!!!!!! SQUEE!!!

I am so totally addicted to this show. Ive watched the last season more than I care to say. Its well written, beautifully filmed and wonderfully acted. First season got 3 Emmy's tonight.

Just got done with the first episode of season 2 and I loved it. I only got Matthew right when I was guessing who was going to be on the front lines. I figured Thomas would have been placed in a hospital and thought that Branson and William would be cannon fodder.

Sybil learning to cook was great an the pride in her moms eyes. Plus I loved that scarlet frock she was wearing.

All Hail Dame Maggie.

Its gonna be a good season.

I have the same feeling.

Did you also see the episode 2 preview?

The dowager saying "You''ll find there's never a dull moment in this house" had me smiling wide.

Well Maggie gets all the good lines. The only meh problem for me was I was hoping that they were going to leave the dead turk in the bed to last season. It seems only a matter of time till father finds out and the shit hits the fan. sad

So is Obrian is Thomas mother? right.

That was a good one too.

I am curious to find out why Cybil turned Tom down. Was it cuz she never felt anything for him or have her feelings changed?

^ I think cause she sees how society is going to change and the opportunities that are going to open up for women in general. She wants to see whats out there before committing to a relationship of any sort.
