So Facebook was making some changes this week ....and I caught people who thought their pages were on private lockdown with their posts' flies exposed!
So if you think your page is private you may want to go check it. I just lost a friend due to post exposure. (not mine lol)

Facebook is ALWAYS trying to job you. Think about it:
Facebook is free to you. But Mark Zuckerberg is worth $7 billion and that's made up entirely of his minority stake in Facebook. Investors value Facebook at more than $15 billion.
What makes Facebook valuable? They don't charge you to join, so they have to sell something, right?
What do they have to sell?
Your eyeballs.
Your information.
Facebook cannot make money unless it can sell those things. So if you ever think you're "private" or Facebook doesn't have something of yours to sell, think again.
Oh, you don't use your real name on Facebook? So what - Facebook knows your IP address every time you log on. If you log on from work, they know where you work. If you log on from home, they know where you live. If they know where you live, they know who you are.
I'm not saying this is good or bad, but I am saying it is fact. Do not EVER think you are not being sold by Facebook.
You are, and always will be.

I'm always astonished when I hear/read that people still use Facebook. It's the most banal "networking" site there is, with too many vulnerabilities.
Whenever someone asks me, "what's your Facebook," I start laughing. "You put water into a cup, it becomes the cup...Now water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend." - Bruce Lee

Do you use another site? If so, which one? There came a time when the risk of remaining tight in the bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom. Anais Nin.

Just curious, does Ben make money with the org? It seems rather impossible to me for him to do so. There came a time when the risk of remaining tight in the bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom. Anais Nin.

one look at their ads on your home page should tell you who they sold your info to.
another indicator is old postings shown of that very person'e profile you clicked onto.
they recycle your old posts on your friend's pages when they click on your profile or comment on your page.
the ads they thry to endorse on your profile will be seen on theirs as well when they comment on your page.. their info sharing works like a virus.

If not, he certainly could (...although I appreciate that there aren't any ads on the org). Google crawls the org like every other minute. The moment someone posts something on the org, it's already searchable on Google. When Google crawls a site that frequently, that means that site is a major player on the Internet, and ripe for revenue.

Yes that's very true. I created a thread about a real life topic on here about a couple of months ago and I did a google search on the topic not long after I created the thread and my thread here on the org was within the first five hyperlinks to click for info. It was crazy. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

That's really a big deal, because most "regular" websites may get crawled once a week at best. One more thing Prince should be proud of, in spite of the Internet being dead and all, lol.

Given what some of those threads that go way beyond 6 or 7 pages are about I am not so sure Prince loves his name involved. There came a time when the risk of remaining tight in the bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom. Anais Nin.
