The basic premise is that you create your own country and have to make decisions that affect the people that you rule. You tell them your political ideals and then test them out to see how they are strong and where they are weak.

I created The Kingdom of Paisley Park
This is what my country is like at day one.



Location: The North Pacific
The Kingdom of Paisley Park is a tiny, environmentally stunning nation, notable for its devotion to social welfare. Its compassionate, intelligent population of 5 million enjoy extensive civil rights and enjoy a level social equality free of the usual accompanying government corruption.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, socially-minded government stops and the rest of society begins, but it devotes most of its attentions to Social Welfare, with areas such as Law & Order and Defence receiving almost no funds by comparison. The average income tax rate is 58%, and even higher for the wealthy. Private enterprise is illegal, but for those in the know there is a slick and highly efficient black market in Beef-Based Agriculture.

Crime is totally unknown. Paisley Park's national animal is the crying dove, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the sand dollars.

The Queendom of Wacko Jacko Nutso is a small, socially progressive nation, notable for its compulsory military service. Its hard-working, intelligent population of 18 million are effectively ruled by a group of massive corporations, who run for political office and provide their well-off citizens with world-class goods and services. Their poorer citizens, however, are mostly starving to death while being urged to go out and get real jobs. The populace has reasonably extensive civil rights, although these are mostly aimed at allowing them to buy whatever they like.

The minute, pro-business government, or what there is of one, is effectively ruled by the Department of Commerce, with areas such as Social Welfare and Healthcare receiving almost no funds by comparison. Income tax is unheard of. A robust private sector is led by the Automobile Manufacturing, Door-to-door Insurance Sales, and Information Technology industries.

The alarmingly racist TV show 'Bigtopians Say the Darndest Things' is a hit, euthanasia is legal, meat-eating is frowned upon, and the mining industry is making inroads into environmentally sensitive areas. Crime is pervasive. Wacko Jacko Nutso's national animal is the little boy, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the underoo.

The United Socialist States of Rhonda is a enormous, economically powerful nation, remarkable for its compulsory military service. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 233 million are ruled with an iron fist by the corrupt, dictatorship government, which oppresses anyone who isn't on the board of a Fortune 500 company. Large corporations tend to be above the law, and use their financial clout to gain ever-increasing government benefits at the expense of the poor and unemployed.

The medium-sized, corrupt, pro-business government juggles the competing demands of Defence, Law & Order, and Education. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 10%. A powerhouse of a private sector is dominated by the Gambling industry.
