I was just checking out Apples and Apple Varieties the other day. Trying to find a different local orchard than the one I usually go to cause they seem to only have Macs....which tend to turn to mush when attempting to make an apple crisp. One thing I learned was that Macs are usually ready first, so I'm a wait another week before I go a pickin' smile

check out this link...VERY good website on ALL things apples.

You would have to bring up the one thing about New England I will miss, Apple picking. The sound of teeth biting into an extra crispy and extra juicy apple is almost erotic to me. (what is all this applekissing stuff? back to google I guess pc )

You'll be too busy having fun in the sun and enjoying those beaches down there... stay away from the fresh water! hug

Braeburns when I want tart and Fuji when I want sweet.

Last year a new variety showed up in the stores, but the name escapes me for the moment it ranks number one in texture and taste, I wonder if it was a new hybrid of somekind.

I've never tasted the GrapeApples that they've had on display 4 to a container cause its just a little too expense for something I may end up not liking

These were good for the caramel apples I made last year. I remember I did them with macs and they came out awful.

I like apples that are like me - hard and tart. lol

My favorite variety is Earliblaze. Haralsons are also good. I usually buy these from local growers at farmer's markets.

My favorite supermarket apple is Pink Lady. If those aren't available, I'll do Granny Smith (always reliable).

I really detest soft, mushy, mealy, sweet apples. Red Delicious is my all-time least favorite. I think they're awful.

Pink lady is my favorite! If not available I'll go for the Braeburn.

So what? No Grapes? Concords !!! Imma get those too when I go apple picking, and Imma steal some Champagne grapes. Imma come back and have a stained face from those and the blueberries.

All part of the fun. I don't even mind the spiders. lol

I´ts all about that feel you know....that kiwi feel ....likke a fruit high...so smooth..so silky and refreshing..yall don´t know what it is...I bought some more today and some cactus fruit stuff...for that special cactusy feel y´know. Kinda difficult to peel though but good good. I like apples, too. I like´em green...I like Fuji too..also Granny Smith..Pink Lady...all of them little mofos..sweet &sour..apples are so sexy. So sexy. So sensual. Yall know Adam and Eve right? They ate apple too...apples kinda sexy..kinda tempting...I like temptashions...but these are good temptashions.

Bananas are kinda tempting too you know but kinda too sweet once they have too many brown spots...bananas gotta be almost greenish yellow...canary yellow for me you know? I kinda eat them with a spoon sometimes...I like bananas but I also like apples. I also like bottled water with apple flavor...that greenish flavor yall know what it is.
