This really puzzles me.
Atlanta is full of these "studs".
That's because what you're seeing is the real life gay world and not some made up porn flick lies with two lipstick lesbians eating each other out and then being stupid enough to let a man join in. That world doesn't exist unless they're strung out crackheads who will do anything for a hit.
Every lesbian couple I've ever seen has been a lipstick type lesbian with a butcher lesbian with different ranges from slightly butch to extremely butch. I've seen very few butch ones that acrtually try to be a man though. They just seem to be a Tom Boy to the extreme but they will let you know real quick that they have no desire to be a man.
I've seen and met enough lesbian couples to know that the "femme" / "femme" combination does exist and that it's not that rare. Perhaps they just don't really go to the same bars that gay men go to. I've seen plenty of them in regular night clubs (I've even been given the "are you trying to hit on my wife!?" line by another woman). I also have several relatives that would go into that category. It's also possible that in the past decades the pressure to have the other person "to be the man" was just stronger. That's not to say the "femme" / "butch" combination wouldn't be a very common one still to this day.
Unfortunately, I've found the lesbian women I've known personally to be quite messed up and they've had plenty of personal problems. That might not sound like a politically correct thing to say, but I emphasize that it's just something that applies to the people I've known myself. I'm not referring to the so-called "bisexual" or "sexually active" women that have had sexual relations with both men and women (but in almost all cases end up living with a man). |

I'm pretty feminine, and almost every woman I dated was at least as femme looking as me, often more so. It's what you make it. |

In Miami I used to see lots of femme/femme couples, too. But back in my day we called them lipstick lesbians. The hi-fashion international model agencies in Miami Beach (like Ford, Next) were crawling with'em back then...all really lovely and girlie, and the big social events and parties (like the annual White Party with hundreds of people)..these girls were dressed and made up to the nines. Aesthetically they always gave you a little glamour with a little drama mixed in (with their wardrobe and make-up choices)- |

i think it all boils down to what your sexual attracted to at it's basic level
Nothing more nothing less.
People like to add on extras and it makes these topics seem confusing.
Basically, these women get off on masculine looking/acting women. end of discussion. |
