The obviously-related cuttlefish supposedly hypnotizes its prey. It does the camouflage thing too, but I haven't seen anything as perfect as that octopus

okay this actually gave me a funny nightmare where our little black cat had this power. In the dream my girlfriend and I were living in a tiny ghetto apartment with shag carpet of blue and green strands, I looked over the edge of the bed, and our little cat was matching the strands and flourecent blue green colors and creeping up the side of the bed with .... sabre teeth sticking down on each side of her little mouth!
