Well, for those who don't appreciate the creativity in the videos, at least this one will have sparked an interesting debate about the Internet, online safety, parenting/monitoring young people's online activities, free speech in cyberspace, what's arts and what isn't, porn , sex, etc.

Not bad!..

So to sum up: different people have different reactions to things - since, obviously, they may have different values and understanding of all the above cited. No breaking news here.

So I don't think there is any single 'right' or 'wrong' in what has been said about the video, there is a little bit of truth in all the comments I think.

As for me, 2 things rule [in general, and in this case's assessment too]:

1] I'm all for free speech, online & offline. So I would be the last person to restrict or regulate the content that's being posted on the Net.

2] I'm all for staying safe: I totally agree with all the well-meaning comments on personal safety: there are on the Net - just like in real life - creeps & weirdos who after being exposed to such content will take it a step further, in a violent way, and stalk or do worse.

So applying common sense and basic safety rules [not disclosing personal info, etc] should be a must imo.

I really don't think the Net is much different than real life. If InternationalLover82 was walking around NY or LA by herself in a mini skirt at 3 am, of course she has the right to do so and I wouldn't make this action [hypothetically] 'forbidden', but I would expect a lot of cautionary words and warnings from my peers, family & acquaintances.

So the magic formula for me: free speech + safety/common sense = cool, secure open, creative & democratic Net!

U are 18, u are old enough to know what u are doing. If u don't like her videos well why bother to react on this thread? Of course u can say what u think but when it's maybe hurting someone else u better don't say anything. But sadly people still need to express their option.

Thing is, age is nothing to me,so I don't mind the older gents commenting.

I think the problem is you/she LOOKS sooooo young its hard to watch the videos in a sexual manner.. I think its mainly the women who are going because we think of you as a very young girl, even tho you are legal and 18, its just hard to think that while watching it... And the guys making sexual comments just seem gross BECAUSE I cant think of you as anything else than my 12 y/o daughter...

Notice that all three of us are mothers; this brings to mind the word "paradigm" and the book "The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People" by Steve Covey. The three of us all come from a simular place, being mothers and seeing what appears to be a very young woman being sexual and we all have the same response, cringe and be genuinely fearful for her safety.

Now, when those closer to her age watch the same little video they will respond differently.

As for the older MEN, there may be 2 reasons. The first one for the response is that maybe they are perverts. The second reason I came up with is that they are trying to build her confidence. "You look great" . Gabbi has expressed lonelyness on this forum before so maybe they want to build up her belief in herself and her little art form.

I just find it very interesting to watch the reactions and then to go to that persons org page and look up their age and what other threads they have been on. It really gives an appretiation for the fact that we come from very different lives here at prince.org

Thinking it doesn't, typing it in a public forum for all to see is definitely on the verge. But this is clearly something about which opinions differ greatly here at the org. When I read the "age difference" threads I'm always amazed at some of the gaps. For me, ten years is the max - for some people there isn't one. So I guess what it comes down to is being comfortable with what other (random, anonymous) people are going to think of your comments. If they feel good to you, cool. Which is how I feel about Gabbi's videos, too. So long as she keeps it safe on the "real world" side of things.

Very interesting. I've never done that, like, ever! I mean, I've looked at people profiles, and I've done it to see if their age is posted. I've never done it to check out what other threads they've posted in, though. That always seemed a bit internet stalkerish to me. But I can see how it might be interesting in this context.

It's OK. But I see it as something quite normal. A funny, beautiful girl posts a Prince related video in prince.org, so I see it. It's entertaining, that's all. There has been more than one case where I did not like what someone had said. Then I looked at it again and it was sort of like "well maybe they are not coming from a place you are coming from" so I didn't post anything mean back right away. I sort of looked at how they spoke in general and got a different view of them. Age plays a part. I am 50 and if you are under 25 you'd have to almost go after my head for me to bite yours off just because I am so much older. If your a kid, I am gonna let that slide. Like Dave, he's a kid who fancies himself an anus connoisseur, just let it slide.
