According to WFAN, the Carson Palmer-to-Oakland deal is done. It'll cost the Raiders their first round pick in 2012 & 2013.

Why would they do this? Palmer is DONE.

The Bengals are better off without him.

Oakland's desperate. They have Kyle Boller and Terrelle Pryor as backups.

Well, the Bears had a jolly good outcome today, though the game kept me on the edge of my seat as I watched it on the telly. tv

Meanwhile, Carson Palmer didn't start for the Raiders today, but it didn't take long before he saw some action. Then again, he looked like a quarterback who hadn't played in months.

Has Detroit hit a wall? They lost to the Atlanta Falcons, while John Beck didn't fare much better than Rex Grossman did last week as Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers beat the Washington Redskins. The Jets overcame a slow start and come back from behind to beat the Chargers, while Tim Tebow lifted the Denver Broncos to an overtime victory over the still-winless Miami Dolphins, thus keeping the Fins in front of the Suck for Luck sweepstakes. And the Cleveland Browns beat the Seattle Seahawks in a barnburner of a game. spit razz

The Packers stayed undefeated after beating the Minnesota Vikings, though Christian Ponder looked pretty decent in his first start for the Vikings, and the struggling Cowboys bounced back against the hapless St. Louis Rams. And the Steelers handily beat the Arizona Cardinals.

WTF were the Chargers doing on that last drive? Philip Rivers is a veteran QB. He was acting like there was five minutes on the clock. And horrible play-calling by Norv Turner, who shouldn't even be a head coach.

Tim 'The Messiah' Tebow? Yawn....wake me when he beats a real NFL team(Steelers, Pats, Ravens) with his arm.

Chargers fell asleep in the second half. LOL at Tebow. He's like a cat with nine lives.

People keep waiting for him to die but he keeps coming back. I don't think he will ever

be a franchise qb but the guy has heart. This next week will be prove it to me week

for the Steelers. They must find a way to kill the demon that is the Patriots. If the Steelers

can't pressure Brady and knock him down, it will be another disappointing day for the Steelers.

And for the love of the all mighty one, please don't let Bruce Arians send all his recievers down

field on 3rd and short situations.

Pats have holes on defense. I expect Big Ben and Mike Wallace to take full advantage.

WTF were the Ravens doing - an onside kick??? Kick that shit long. Maybe you get lucky, pin the Jags deep in their own territory, and get the ball in good field position. At that point, they were only down 9-7. A field goal wins the game. Dumb decision by the coach.

Am I the only one who's not impressed with Joe Flacco?

This is a must-win for the Giants at home against the lowly Dolphins. After this week, their schedule is BRUTAL;

at Patriots

at 49ers

EAGLES

at Saints

PACKERS

at Cowboys

REDSKINS

at Jets

COWBOYS

Yeesh! The good thing is, none of the other NFC East teams are setting the world on fire. Nine or ten wins might clinch the division.

I'm not impressed with Joe Flacco or as a Giants I hate to admit this.......Eli Manning boxed

I know we won a Super Bowl and he was MVP but.........disbelief

Hopefully he'll play well in the coming weeks and change my mind.

You referring to the end of the Pats-Steelers game. lol

Yes that was a good team win. I've never seen the defense

play that aggressive against Tom Brady. Last year they just

sat in a soft zone and didn't even blitz. Today was the total

opposite. Just hope these guys remember they were 6-2

two seasons ago and lost 5 straight before finishing 9-7.

No time to be cocky with two big division games coming up.

Giants always make it interesting with an opponent they're supposed to beat - shit. Eli pulled our fat out of the fire. He'll never be as great as his brother, Tom Brady, or Aaron Rodgers, but he is a top ten QB.

Giants have a two-game division lead and face the toughest part of the schedule. Next up - New England.

Next week is the Ravens and I know the Steelers are looking forward to that one. Steelers O-Line is playing way better than week one and when they faced the Texans. Ravens lost to the Jags and almost lost to the Cardinals at home.

Holy crap! omg omfg Just as the San Diego Chargers looked like they were heading towards an inevitable and amazing comeback victory against the Kansas City Chiefs, Phillip Rivers had a Joe Pisarcik moment and fumbled the snap on the Chiefs 15 yard line with 32 seconds left in the game and the score tied at 20. The fumble was recovered by the Chiefs and essentially sent the game into overtime, where the Chiefs won the game on a field goal. Now there's a three way tie for first place in the AFC West with Kansas City, San Diego, and Oakland.

that sucks. I have lived in Metro Detroit for 16 years. I have seen MANY games end that way.

You go home from the game and tell your family/friends... "See .... what happen was...."

WHF is going on with Phillip Rivers? This dude was considered elite not too long ago.

It also doesn't help Rivers having Norv Turner in charge. Turner may be great at calling offense, but as a head coach, as a leader of men, he leaves a lot to be desired. The Chargers have underachieved so much, it's amazing he still has his job. Marty was fired after a 14-2 record.

What a day, what a day, what a day in the NFL, starting with my Giants. I thought they were done when Eli made that bonehead INT in the endzone. But he came through on the last drive(and NY got a gift from the officials on that BS pass interference call). Jake Ballard is the mf-ing truth!

Any fool who thinks football is 'sissified' should watch Steelers/Ravens. That was a MAN'S GAME! I'm still shocked Pittsburgh wasn't able to stop Flacco & Co. on the final drive.
