Sorry, I haven't been convinced by the responses to my argument. Maybe this subject should be dealt with in the prince.org site Discussion Forum.

Simple - the Jets o-line couldn't handle the Ravens defense. Without Mangold in the middle, Sanchez had no chance.

Nice comeback by the Giants, but the realty is, they got a gift from the refs on the Cruz play.

Meanwhile, Hank Williams Jr., the son of legendary country singer Hank Williams and the voice behind the Monday Night Football theme song, went on Fox and Friends this morning and compared President Obama to Adolf Hitler. As a result, ESPN has pulled the opening theme from its telecast tonight.

It's official woot!

ESPN drops Hank Williams, Jr., Hank claims he quit with his ‘rowdy friends’

After originally pulling the "Monday Night Football" theme by country singer Hank Williams from last Monday's telecast due to some politically incendiary comments, ESPN has decided to end its relationship with Williams for good. The statement was released Thursday morning:

"We have decided to part ways with Hank Williams, Jr. We appreciate his contributions over the past years. The success of Monday Night Football has always been about the games and that will continue."

Williams has his own statement about the breakup — or, at least, it's a statement on his own website:

"After reading hundreds of e-mails, I have made MY decision. By pulling my opening Oct 3rd, You (ESPN) stepped on the Toes of The First Amendment Freedom of Speech, so therefore Me, My Song, and All My Rowdy Friends are OUT OF HERE. It's been a great run." -- Hank Williams Jr

Interesting point in that statement -- when Williams refers to "his song," does that mean that ESPN no longer has the right to use the "Are you ready for some footbaaaaaaaaall?" theme without Williams singing it? Who owns that sucker? Where does the publishing revert? Could ESPN put itself in a position to have to pay Williams for the right to have others sing the song he wrote, or is it time to scrap it and start over?

The fracas started when Williams made comments about President Barack Obama during a Monday appearance on the Fox News show, "Fox & Friends." Without any prompting, Williams said that Obama's golf outing with House Speaker John Boehner would be "like Hitler playing golf with [Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin] Netanyahu.''

Williams then clarified his comments by saying, ''They're the enemy,'' and that by ''they,'' he meant Obama and Vice President Joe Biden.

Williams FURTHER clarified his comments on his website on Tuesday:

''The thought of the leaders of both parties jukin and high fiven on a golf course, while so many families are struggling to get by simply made me boil over and make a dumb statement. I am very sorry if it offended anyone.''

On Monday, ESPN pulled the theme song, which has been associated with "Monday Night Football" since 1989. It was unknown at that time whether Williams' theme and likeness would be used again, but it's now a clean break — the Worldwide Leader has decided to move on.

Or, depending on who you believe, Hank jumped before he was pushed, taking his rowdy friends with him.

Can't anyone sing, record and make money from any song as long as they make the mandatory payment to the composer? That's what Prince is always complaining about.

I always find it amusing when people think the First Amendment applies to the private sector.

It was an emotional day in Houston as the Oakland Raiders went back and forth with the Houston Texans and won 25-20 after intercepting a Matt Schaub pass in the end zone just as the Texans were looking to score the game winning touchdown as time expired.

woot! woot! woot! dancing jig dancing jig dancing jig Just Win Baby!!!! dancing jig dancing jig dancing jig woot! woot! woot!

Meanwhile, the Minnesota Vikings finally hold on to a lead and handily beat the Arizona Cardinals while the Indianapolis Colts blow a 17-0 lead and lose to the Kansas City Chiefs 28-24. Once again, Cam Newton has a good game but comes up short, this time against the New Orleans Saints. The New York Giants lose to the Seattle Seahawks after Eli Manning threw an interception while driving for the go ahead touchdown late in the game which tipped off one of his receivers and fell into the arms of a Seahawk defender, who ran it back for the victory sealing touchdown. And the Philadelphia Eagles lose again to the Buffalo Bills as Michael Vick threw three interceptions.

The steelers actually looked like a NFL team today unlike last week.

Wow i didn't believe Max Starks would come in and give this whole

offensive line a boost at LT considering the guy only played 6 games last

season. Ben looked sharper because he had some time to throw to his

receivers and the running game finally surfaced because of better oline

play. OC Bruce Arians called a great game on offense today and the defense

responded today to talk that they were over the hill.

TEBOW!!!!!!!!

The Denver Broncos trailed the San Diego Chargers 26-10 before Kyle Orton was benched and Tim Tebow entered the game. He ran for one touchdown and threw another before San Diego tacked on a field goal for the 29-24 lead with less than a minute to go in the game. Tebow drove the Broncos to the Chargers' 30 yard line with one second remaining before heaving a hail mary pass which would be tipped and fall under the arms of a Bronco receiver. Though the Broncos lost the game, it appears the Tim Tebow era will begin in earnest.
