Girl punches bear in the face...(Seriously) ...to save dog.
Okay, I heard it this morning on the radio, didn't know how true it was at the time but it had me laughing so hard I had tears in my eyes, while I was driving.
Look at that face. Idda did the same thang.
They once named a street after Chuck Norris, but they had to rename it because no one can cross Chuck Norris and live." - ChuckNorrisFacts.com. This is of course, unless you're 22 year old Brooke Collins from Juneau, Alaska. Even Chuck Norris would be scared of this tough woman. On August 28, 2011, Collins was enjoying a typical evening at home. Around 7:30pm that evening, she let her dogs outside like usual, but events quickly turned that made this evening turn into anything but typical. Collins's dachshund, Fudge, darted quickly out the back door, barking loudly. Collins immediately heard Fudge's barks turn into cries of help. Collins raced outside to find that a black bear had grabbed her beloved dog. The bear had the dog in its big claws and was biting the back of dog's neck. Without an instance of thought, Collins ran right up to the bear and punched it in the face! As soon as the bear let go, she scooped up Fudge and started running back to the house. Her boyfriend ran outside and found the bear went down the driveway and back to the mountain. Fudge suffered some claw and bite marks, but luckily they weren't deep enough to be severe. Collins stated that the event was an eye-opener. The neighborhood where Collins lives is right next to Mount Juneau, so black bear sightings are a common occurance. Even though punching a bear in the face is not recommended by any means, I can't help but think that this tough chick should get a medal. With one swift right hook, Collins saved her dog's life and made herself an icon for tough girls everywhere.

Personally...I would have run away and thanked the dog in a shrine for his sacrifice...... Going to church doesn’t make you a Christian, any more than standing in a garage makes you a car.

And we are glorifying this shit. Bears are animals too, and they have feelings, the late summer/ early fall is when bears are their hungriest looking to fatten up for the winter ahead. This woman should be prosecuted for cruelty to wild animals, its possible the bear was playing with the dog rather than eating it.
Bear rights now, we have paws and our clawses, free honey and hugs for everybear everywhere. Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name
