What's the biggest drama that ever happened at your job?

Mine was when I almost had to tell a co-worker that she literally smelled like shit

i caught my boss having an affair with my fellow employee. i wanted nothing to do with the whole thing. but somehow i was put in the middle of a huge investigation. was very stressful because they blamed me for blowing the whistle, when i just minded my own job, i honestly could not care less who is sleeping with who at work!confused

my husband also has to fire people at times, and has had 3 different people threaten him. he hates to fire people, and is afraid of what their reaction will be each time. last person came back and shot the front of his work place with a BB gun.

i understand its their lively hood and they need to work, but u cant help it during bad economic conditions!! i dont care what they do to the building, there r security cameras, and they would be foolish to even try... i just hate doing it and i hate their reaction, esp when its hostile confused

I work for myself. It's pretty nice for avoiding drama, although I do have to give the boss a handjob every day or he gets cranky.

I own a coffee shop and work there allll the time.

I live in St. Paul which is about a half hour from Paisley Park, depending on the traffic. I used to drive out there and just look at it when I was first getting into Prince ten years ago. lol

A previous job... employee asked the manager if she could sit down for a bit because she wasn't feeling well. Manager gets mad and pulls her in the office arguing with her. Woman gets mad and proceeds to go to the bathroom while the manager still yelling at her. Before she could get to the bathroom, she falls to the floor unconscious. Manager freaks out and doesn't know what to do. So we call 911 and the ambulance arrives. Daughter that works there (but has an estranged relationship with her mom) wants to go with the mom to the hospital but doesn't want to leave us shorthanded but we tell her to just go since it's an emergency - so she goes (they mend their relationship after she recovers). Manager feels guilty and hides leaving us 3 people short to run the business.

In a past job, I fired many people. Not once did someone yell or scream. I think my secret is that I truly care about each and everyone of my employees (whether they are a bad or good employee). They know I have worked with them and given them chances to change (retraining etc). If an employee didn't "like" me then the other boss would do the firing. If they didn't "like" the other boss then I would do the firing. And we where always both present when we fired someone.

I could never teach regular school. I couldn't stand the awful pushy and absentee parents. The school administration/school board or as I like to call them "the know it alls." Having worked with students in past work, I find them to be the least challenging of all. Not that there aren't challenges, especially with students with attitudes that parents actions support.

3 years ago I was working at an adult bookstore, and my co-worker killed and dismembered one of our regular customers! He spread his body parts throughout San Diego. I had to testify in court against my co-worker. 2 weeks later, I quit! The vibe got really wierd. I guess it's hard to watch porn and jack off thinking about a ghost hanging around!

Biggest drama that ever happened to me at work is when my good friend had a heart attack at her desk at the end of the day. We found her slumpped over at her desk. She had already died. sad

I've been through several "bloody purges" (mass layoffs). Those days are always awful, because they tell you to stay at your desk and wait for a phone call. The people who are let go are escorted out of the building immediately and the ones who remain get to spend the rest of the day feeling relieved and guilty.

We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Back in Feb. 2009 was the worst. The next day I had to have my monthy meeting with my sr. manager and he was trembling like a leaf from all the stress of the previous day.

Someone shit on the bathroom floor a couple of weeks ago.

And we have another lady that makes up boyfriends and tells anybody who is willing to listen (or at least not walk away from her) about it. She currently is "dating" someone who works for Dale Earnhardt Jr and claims he flies her on his private plane every weekend. nuts
