A cigarette when I was 15, followed by Mike's Hard once, and then weed several times. I think I tried a sip of beer and hated it though. I haven't smoked or drank since experimenting over a decade ago cause of no interest and being into caffienne anyways, though I had wine one time a few years ago after the stress of MJ's death, making a promise to stay away from it after. I get stressed out easily and hooked on things I like, so in a way I'm glad I'm not into that stuff, I can see myself getting addicted and when I'm at my worst emotionally, I really feel like numbing away the pain, but I'm taking meds that won't work if I combine it with alcohol so I have to remind myself of that.

I probably first got drunk at my friend's Bar Mitzvah off of manischewitz wine. I was 13.

I did not smoke pot until I was 20 or so, but I took to it like a champion, and lost all interest in drinking

I still like a beer or two, or a glass of wine, but I am pretty convinced that the only reason to do drugs is mental problems, insecurity, etc.

Nothing to be ashamed of, necessarily, it is normal for people to empty or dissatisfied or uncomfortable. But I believe even healthy recreational drinking/drugging comes from some kind of human frailty.

Of course, I think rabid sobriety is often sign of a problem too! lol

Oh, and the first drink that got me drunk off my ass was that "Tango" stuff. (it is sort of like premixed screwdrivers).

I certainly don't look down on people smoking pot or drinking or smoking cigarettes, I just think maybe consciousness is a heavy burden for humans to bear.

The first time I got “high” was on my 6th birthday. My babysitter thought it would be funny if she

and her friends gave me a contact high. Then she thought it would be even better if she taught

me how to smoke. She babysat me until I was (almost) 8 and I was getting high almost every

night. I still have a picture (somewhere) of myself sitting with a bunch of teenagers smoking out of

a bong. Right before I turned 8 I decided I was done with that shit and stopped smoking, my

babysitter wasn’t happy about my choice and pinned me down and started blowing smoke in

my face. I ended up throwing a fit from hell and wrecked most of the shit in her room, there

was glass everywhere. That was the last time she ever babysat me and I haven’t smoked since.

When I was younger I had a friend whose grandma was a huge smoker (cigs). She was in her

80’s and hated to “start” her cigarette herself. Usually, she would have my friend start it for her

(light it, take a few puffs to get it going, then hand it over) but when I was there she would have

me do it. I hated it, but if I didn’t do it she would kick me out and not let me see my friend.

Then, oddly enough, my mom started having me do it whenever she wanted a cigarette while

she was driving. Then she started having me finish it off because she didn’t want to “waste” it.

I finally got tired of it and when she asked again one day I crushed her entire pack and tossed it

out the window. She was pissed (good thing she was never a hitter) and I went off about how much

I hated cigs and the nasty smoke. She never asked me to do it again but warned me that if she

ever caught me with a cigarette in my mouth she would kick the shit out of me. I haven’t

smoked since; kind of associate it with work.

Aside from sips as a child I probably first drank when I was about 13. Crap beer and some spirits someone managed to get hold of, drinking on the street corner at night like ne'er do wells and puking up.

First smoked weed when I was about 17. Smoked 3 or 4 times a week when I was 18/19 but only very occasionally (once every few years) since then. Took yaa baa (amphetamines) a lot for a month or so about 10 years ago during one of my first trips to Thailand. Would never touch it now.

Don't feel bad for me. The awesome thing is that I learned to dislike a lot of things before I

could ever become addicted to them. What people associated with being "cool" in high school

and college were things I found repulsive.

Another random fact about me: I spent the first 3 years of my life raised in a whore house.

There are pictures of me being carried around and fed by prostitutes. Apparently one of

the prostitutes got too attached to me and tried to run off with me. Shitty thing was that

she overdosed on something in a motel room the night after running off with me. They found me

the same night she died, I shudder at the thought that I could have ended up dying in that

motel room with her.

I have a shit ton of stories, I guess its why I don't miss my childhood much.

I have a really bad history with babysitters. My next babysitter ended up being some dude

who had been wanted for child molestation/ rape in a number of different states for a few years.

He got caught before he could follow through with whatever he had planned for me.

I accidentally tried a vodka and tonic when I was 5. I was at a family get together at my Auntie's house and she had like 50 glasses that were all the same (That's New Zealand in the early 80s for you!!!) and I was drinking a lemonade, I accidentally stuck it on a bench and came back to it. At the same time my Auntie put a glass of Vodka tonic next to it and left it. I came back, took the wrong glass and wondered why I felt funny and very happy and my auntie realised what had happened (Since she was only 17 and not supposed to be drinking vodka) she owned up only after I vomited on the floor and then said "You took my drink" My Mum got quite ghetto on her and she got in a lot of trouble. Fortunately apart from getting tipsy the vodka had little effect on me, I thought it was "yuck" anyway.

Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name

The sperm donor ran off not to long after I was born leaving my young uneducated mother to

fend for herself with a new baby and no where to go (her kicked her and I out). My mom was only

17 and her mom was a crazy bitch who sold her oldest daughter (my aunt) to a strip club

manager when she was 15.

I love my mom to death and while she made some bad decisions when she was younger, she

gave up having any kind of a (happy) life to bust her ass to take care of me, my bros, and

sis when she could have tossed our happy asses anytime she liked.

Otherwise with drugs, I tried some dope when I was 16, smoked part of a joint and hated it (For once I caved into peer pressure). Never touched them again or had any desire too, although I am sure I accidentally ingested some dope in a brownie I ate at a party in my early 20s.

I think I drank alcohol for the first time at about 14. My friend stole a 2 bottles of Auste Splamante from his uncles club and we drank it. I didn't really likeit much. But drank beer a few times here or there with friends....didn't get drunk or anything.

Through my highschool years we drank a lot of Zima and St. Ides. I would get drunk on weekends maybe once a month. I didn't like it, but did it anyway.

I think the first time I smoked weed I was about 16. I didn't get high, just tired.

Didn't do it again till 17ish I guess. Loved it, started smoking all the time.

Around 19 years old I started smoking around the clock for like 2 years maybe.

Around that time I also started taking a lot of X. Loved it. Did it pretty much every wkend that I had the chance.

Didn't drink much booze in the yrs I did X and smoked weed.

Around 21 quit doing X and only smoked weed once in a great great while.

Started drinking heavily around 26ish I guess......wasn't a drunk but drank every day.

Now I drink a beer or two or glass of wine or some kinda beverage at night. Thats about it.

I've reached in darkness and come out with treasure
I layed down with love and I woke up with lies
Whats it all worth only the heart can measure
It's not whats in the mirror but what's left inside
